Elthan and WSS are correct. not sure about the exact number without going through pages and pages of Target 40,000 meetings (where's Airman Brown when you need him) but its around that number.
No sure if the 10% rules applies in the CCC, mind
Nearly 17,000 sold already and that's more than the same time last year.

I keep seeing this mentioned every so often and it's meant to be really positive but is it really? Surely with the offer of free season tickets you would have assumed the good majority of people who wanted a ST have ordered it. I know I'm certainly the type of person that always leaves it to the last minute (normally involving going to the valley on deadline day) but this year it's in nice and early to take advantage of the clubs very generous offer. I personally don't see us getting many more, 17,500 tops, which is a shame really.

True, some the late buyers will have bought already but we have just been relegated and some of the worst case scenarios on this site and others places were predicting under 10k STs.
We have sold 500 since the deadline so getting another 500 is more than likely IMHO. Some people on here (the boat) haven't bought yet and there will be some more. A lot will be around the feel-good factor and who leaves and who comes in plus how we do in the first few games.
Quite so Bon Ton Roulet. The club always writes to non-renewing ST holders to encourage them to renew and to find out why they have packed up. Last year many people cited boring football and too many KO changes. Don't know the current numbers of non-renewers.
Many individual Valley Express users are ST holders but there are also many parties and groups who are not. And without sounding patronising why do you think the club runs Valley Express? For the fun of it or fill the ground in the short term and to build the fan and ST base in the medium to long term with a bit of a nod to Greenwich councils transport policies on the way. VEs are key marketing targets this year and every year.

that's the spirit...nothing sells faster than something selling out...
is true in this case i think.
I'm sure there were quite a few that initially thought they wouldn't renew and would pick and choose next season. The strong returns will haev those reconsidering i suspect.

spot on. won't want to be unable to get good seats for the big games.
I'd be surprised if the season-ticket total moves very much between now and July. As has been said, the offer will have brought in most people who had made up their minds. But there are significant categories of people the club can target to become season-ticket holders and this will be done.
There is no obvious reason to buy in May and June other to secure a particular seat. There are also some people who only ever buy late, whatever the incentive. So we won't have a clear idea of the final figure until the week before the first home game.
Personally, I think 17,000 is a fantastic total in the circumstances.

and
how many valley express dont have season tickets ?
these two categories alone could surely bring up the sales number with a bit of work...
