shirt sponsors

noticed whilst watching the play-off semi that derby have 2 (different) shirt sponsors, 1 on front and 1 above the number on the back. i seem to think leeds also had something along those lines.
i cant recall any prem sides having it, is it only allowed in the ccc? if so, will charlton seize the opportunity to recoupe some lost revenue (whilst p**sing off some fans who already have the kit, if any kits are remaining the same)?

  • It's a CCC thing. You can also have the shorts sponsored I believe.

Property prices in Spain have plummetted in the last couple of months - so, idly speculating, Llanera may be having an awkward time.
    Or not.
  • very prophetic Salad
  • We can't even sort out one for the front let alone the back!

  • Barca now have shirt sponsors for the inside of their shirts. The logo will only be seen if players lift their shirts. The deal is rumoured to be worth 15 million over 4 years.

Do you get a yellow in the champions league / La Liga for lifting up your shirt?
  • Shame. Liked the fact that they used to consider their shirt too sacred to have a sponsor on the front, let alone anywhere else. Now milking it just like the rest, "Mes que un club" my arse.

  • Intel are getting mileage out if this story. Doesn't matter if nobody ever lifts their shirt

I'm sure it won't take long for a player to negotiate a deal with Intel that he will flash their logo five times in a season in exchange for a school getting a load of computers sent to them for free.
  • Intel inside .. very subtle from the crafty Catalans
  • I understand that Imodium are closing in on a deal to sponsor the inside of Messi's underpants.
  • no that's going to be us - we shit ourselves when we get within sight of the goal
