Wasn't at the game. Having just watched the "all-angles" video of JJ's goal, I noticed Magennis' movement played a vital part in opening up that space for Jackson to go one-on-one with the keeper.

  • The first half was a Saturday afternoon stroll for the home side. Possibly one pass back on target.
Didn't see much 'huffing and puffing'. Fox left on his own on the left. No-one ahead of him most of the half.
Wingless wonders with Holmes trying way to hard and withdrawn as clearly tiring after 3 games in a week.
Ademola out of sorts so can understand why rested. Anonymous 2nd half performance at Cheltenham repeated Saturday.
Ajose should get goals but 2 efforts from inside the box both missed the target. Dearth of striking ability apparent in starting Magennis who battled. Excellent restart petered out far too early and in the end lucky to survive two late cobbled efforts.
Must win Tuesday. Need to find a winger from somewhere as the absence of width alarming Saturday. Lookman should be rested till September as pointless playing him for half an hour here and there.
  • The shape of things to come. To those that didn't renew good desicion so far.

Forgive me suggesting that that is an odd comment. I thought not renewing was about protesting about the ownership, not simply because you felt the football wasn't that good. Are you suggesting that once we start winning, you will return to the stands even if the owner is still the owner? V confusing.
  • Anyone else feel it felt like a pre season game rather than a game with something at stake?
