  • As someone who works in a very high profile firm in a PR job I would just say that sending emails is not a very effective way to get to this particular moron, emails are easily ignored.

What you need to do - and we've had this done to execs at my firm - is bombard the clueless fucker with phone calls.

Just keep phoning the main switch and ask to be put through to him, this is a massive pain in the arse as it chokes up the main switch and it forces a response because you can't ignore phone calls very easily.

Better still if someone has his desk number......

Ah, now there's an idea. I have free calls from my office landline, and August is always a bit slow.

I want a reassurance that if he finds me guilty of "anti-social behaviour", he is not going to pass his judgement on to friends at the Border Police...

Nothing anti social about making a phone call!

Be as polite as you can, the point is that calls are that much harder to ignore.

I can honestly guarantee you now that people in elected office or in business aren't that bothered by emails - they could come from anyone - but phone calls are very different, much harder to ignore.

Our CEO gets very nervous when calls come in because it means people are so pissed off they will go that bit further to make contact.
I am ready to try this, if someone can get me his number.

I think I would try to ask him if an "Agreed Behavioural Contract" (English spelling) actually exists. If so, should it not be published so that we all know what we have to do to comply, and equally importantly what tests will be applied to determine non-compliance.

There are loads more questions, but I don't want to hog them all, I'm sure he wants to hear from a cross-section of customers.

  • I think one interesting question would be 'how do they garner the information to identify individuals on social media?'

  • Wonder who the safety officer is...Maybe useful to phone him/her too as surely they would have responsibility for their deputies...Club is FARCE upon FARCE...

They had his details as he had volunteered to help in the past, He stated this in the radio interview.
  • “I want to take the opportunity to meet more of the people who help make this great club what it is. It will be a great learning experience for me to find out more about the club and its great history and it will also give me the opportunity to speak to supporters about our ambition for Charlton this coming season.”
    - Russell Slade, on proposed meeting with Season Ticket Holders

“Je ne devrais pas le dire, mais je me fous de l’historie du club’’ (loosely translated as “I shouldn’t say this but I don’t care about the history of the club”)
    - Katrien Meire, (L’Echo, Brussels newspaper 28th Sept. 2015)

What a lot of anal soundbites...............

He's DUTY safety officer not DEPUTY safety officer. Presumably he reports to Mick Everett.

Nonetheless, it's an odd job title. Presumably when he's there he's on duty and when he isn't he's, well, off-duty safety officer.
Is Roger Johnson a Duty centre-back do you think?
  • Original posting has now been amended for the Shrewsbury Town game -it was perhaps unreasonable for Mr Eager to get Katrien Meire's ABC ready for that afternoon's game v Northampton.

Now he has all of Monday and part of Tuesday to get it ready!

This is Cliff Eager apparently writing something, so theoretically he should be able to write a reply.

Also found on the internet this picture of Cliff Eager signing off after 35 years.

  • Update on police competence:
Spoke with my police officer sister this morning. Fixing up my trip to Northern Ireland. Told her my ferry docked at 18:30. She asked if that was in the morning....

Nice to see this pic again innit.
Is it me or did he wear his hat really high, do you think he had a big bouffant or was just a big Paddington fan?
