  • Late late goal from central defender Jo Cummings, a header from a Alfie Doughty corner. Jo is a 18 year old on trial from Sheffield Utd. Charlton ground out a result on a very bumpy difficult pitch which was used the day before by Wasps, who also play at the stadium. As said above Millwall have 3 matches to play, one away to Hull which was recently abandoned in 89th minute due to a fight between both teams when the score was 2-1 to Hull. Wish the result had stood.

Re the abandoned game, apparently the ref never even submitted a report so it has to be replayed. Hull would have been fuming I'm sure as they are challenging for a play off spot.

Ricoh Arena is a great stadium such a shame it's being wasted.
  • The FA website is showing Millwall beat Ipswich 2-1?
  • Hull game should be re played, but both teams have 3 points deducted for failing to control their players. A game being abandoned must be just about as serious as it gets.
  • I had thought todays game was this afternoon at The Valley.
It now looks as though it is this evening at 6.30, can anybody confirm this?
  • I thought it was supposed to be 2pm at Greenwich Borough?
  • The League are also showing it as 6.30pm unfortunately. Planned to go along this afternoon
  • What a complete mess this football club is in. This match was shown on the website as 2pm at Greenwich last week. No notice of a change until article on website in the last hour. No mention on club twitter either.

It's not really a shambles, late change happens sometimes. That's a better venue and makes sense - and maybe why it's been changed so late. To be fair the club did update Fixture programme last week Albeit not as a specific news article...
    It's definitely tonight Ko 6.30

You say they knew last week but delayed putting anything on the website until a few hours before the scheduled kick off. I would say that was a shambles.

Whatever you like- it was on the website but just in the fixture details....I'm just saying their are bigger issues to define as a shambles. This is a league decider and I would say it's a good thing to play at the valley. Getting that agreed etc is I'm sure another ball ache. Getting the message out earlier yes I agree but it's not a shambles in my view limited view

  • This was originally scheduled for Middle Park Ave this afternoon, but the Valley/Monday 6.30 was listed in the U-23 Fixtures on the OS yesterday (Sunday) afternoon. Given that it's the spanners and a possible league decider, moving it to The Valley was not a bad idea, and the 6.30 start is fine for free street parking. Hoping for a decent evening.

If we still lived in Dartford, we'd definitely be there tonight to cheer on the lads.

Hope we have a good turn out & make some serious noise.

  • Young Lions head into The Valley...
Millwall's Under 23s travel the short distance to The Valley on Monday night for a Professional Development League derby with Charlton Athletic (kick-off 6.30pm).

Following a 2-1 defeat to Ipswich Town at Dartford's Princes Park last time out, Adam Barrett's side sit in 2nd place in the League (South) table, five points behind The Addicks, but with two games in hand.

Victory for Charlton will secure the title, but any other result will allow The Lions a chance to take top spot from underneath the nose of their nearest rivals.

Millwall have a seven-point gap to 3rd-placed Cardiff City, meaning that their place in the end-of-season Semi-Finals is certain.

Tickets for tonight's clash are priced at £3 adults, £2 concessions and £1 under 16s. Attendees should be aware that there will be no parking available in The Valley's car park.

Charlton’s U23s will win the Professional Development League 2 South title if they avoid defeat against Millwall at The Valley on Monday night (6.30pm).

The Addicks currently hold an eight-point advantage over the Lions at the top of the table and a draw or victory in SE7 will ensure that they cannot be caught.

Monday night’s encounter is Jason Euell’s side’s final match of the regular season, while Millwall have two games in hand. They still face fixtures against Hull City and Coventry City.

Charlton have won 14 of their 27 league outings so far this campaign and have lost just five. With 51 goals scored, they are the joint highest scorers in division and possess a goal difference of plus 26.

Fans are permitted to attend this evening’s fixture. Entry is free for season ticket holders and Valley Gold members, who will need to produce their cards at the turnstile. Tickets are otherwise priced at £3 adults, £2 concessions and £1 for under 16s.

Supporters should be aware that there will be no parking available in The Valley’s carpark.
