    Ft 2-2
  • Thanks for the updates, guys.

Sounds like we missed a good match. Maybe my £7 for this month's subscription will be put towards 100% streaming of home U21 matches in future otherwise it'll be cancelled.

Any suggestions who to contact about this issue would be gratefully received.

Really enjoying these U21 games. I thought Huke going off (?was it a knock?) changed the flow of the game, he seemed to get a foot in and a safe pass out of many situations. We lost the midfield dominance after then, and the goals for Ips rolled in.

I was also at the game this afternoon, very entertaining & probably a fair result.
Ipswich must have the tallest side in the league with most of their players over 6ft & one defender was about 6ft 6ins.
I thought Ollie Hobden was outstanding, especially in the 1st half & Toby Bower is the best free kick taker we have at the club.

The game changed when Ipswich brought on several substitutes. The fresh legs proved the difference.

If Charlton had put the subs on after the first Ipswich goal the result might have been different.

The situation changed late in the match when both sides made substitutions.
The Ipswich number 16 Abube Onuchukwu was an imposing presence when he came on in the middle of midfield and I believe it was him that scored both of the Ipswich goals, the second one was like our second one from Rylah, a fine strike.
Bower is indeed the best free kick taker we have at the club, ahem now that Aaron Henry is at Rochdale.
Despite the height of Ipswich I thought Micha M'bick had a good game leading the line, dare i say he is more purposeful and less kind of innocently bewildered in his game.
It was a good game, and their keeper kept them in it when it was needed, but we had decent showings all over.

I wonder if we'll see Bower in the BSM Trophy? Would be interesting to see him even as a sub.

Is Casey injured? Haven’t seen his name mentioned.
Didnt read the thread, so don’t shoot me if it’s already been answered 😂

Not been mentioned so you’re safe! Is there a chance he’s got a loan move?

From the streams I’ve seen I think Enslin is the better prospect as a left footed FB/WB. I don’t think I’ve really seen him properly tested defensively though as we’ve often had plenty of possession and u21s is less physical than first team football.

Yeah I was trying to figure out how it would work for a BSM game because naturally you'd probably be starting Edun over both of them. Bit of a tricky one unless Edun played in midfield.

Thought the referee today (female) was excellent.

According to the match report both Ipswich goals were scored by Jesse Nwabueze.

Fair enough, they know better. I think I got number 14 and 16 mixed. Either way it was a good substitution for them.

Today’s team - no Mbick, Dixon, Casey, Huke or MacLorg, some at least must be with the first team.
