Yet when these kids come into the first team they struggle and its only L1.....don't think U21 football is that great a standard TBH.....wish there was a reserve league like the old days where they play against men.......

Disagree, many shine when they come into the 1st team and many get poached by other clubs before they get that far eg Oxford's keeper on Saturday.

Not realistic for everyone to make it and some will struggle especially in a struggling side where they are overused, as has been the case this season but Doherty, Palmer, Konsa, Lookman, Gomez, Dijsteel etc etc etc have done well.
