He probably signed for us to show his wares in the English League so that he (or his agent) could get a large payday in the Premier League. Now that the Premier League is unlikely to ever happen I suspect they don't want to bother playing for us any more.
No real loss to us, just RD's money and KM's credibility. The former is bountiful and the latter is non-existent!
Any more that have had contracts terminated since RD took over?
At a guess we've possibly spent over £1m in fees for PP (£700k rumoured), Lepoint and Bergdich (both probably at least £100-200k each?). That's ignoring their wages and the cost of paying off their contracts.
Said it before but they've wasted so much that should have been spent on keeping the likes of Kermorgant and a few signings of Powell's choosing. We're now working towards getting back to the position Powell was in when RD took over.
Lepoint was actually sold (the only player from the Pro League) back to Belgium wasnt he...
That's what the OS said but the player registration documents that used to be published on the FA website suggested his contract was terminated.
Interesting.
@Airman Brown Here's the link to the PDF (which I don't think are made avaible on the FA site anymore):
Not sad at all that Bergdich has gone. His appearances last season were nothing to write home about and if it's true that he failed to turn up for pre season then good riddance. Hopefully as we've seen already this season, signings like this should be firmly consigned to the history bins.
I still can't believe we spent 700k plus on Polish Pete though. Someone got a lottery win out of that!
Shame he hasn't written on twitter something like "I can't say much but all will be revealed in time" like Poyet did or at least some bullshit line to at least attempt to retain some credibility

Although having said that the "reveal" in both cases was that they were shit, it's just we didn't yet know it in Poyet's case.

I remember someone saying he had a half decent performance away to Reading last season.
However his performance against Preston at home was arguably the worst showing I have ever seen. They played him out on the right wing and he was useless.

Looking at that list, apart from Bikeys first six months, you have to say what a bucket of bolts. Then you remember it's the tip of the iceberg.....
Still reckon Lepoint was simply mismanagement, played well out of position on the few occasions he played, got left on the bench then went back to Belgium and started doing well again. Don't get me wrong he was no world beater but there's definitely a player in there.

Was in the squad when we had a pretty decent spell under Guy Luzon and couldn't break into a settled team. No disgrace in that. 13 league goals since he moved to Zulte Waregem.
