Wright, 29, has had five seasons at Goodison - but boss David Moyes has hinted he might eventually be offered a new deal if he needs another keeper.
"Alessandro and Richard have both been released, although the door is slightly ajar for Richard in that we may need to bring in another keeper," Moyes told Everton's website.
Wright, who has been linked to former club Ipswich, was signed by Moyes from Arsenal for £3.5m in July 2002 but has spent most of his time at the club as second choice to Nigel Martyn and then Tim Howard.
imo
we have to sign a proven keeper. no matter how good randolph was yesterday, he, and elliot (next in line) have one 1st team outing between them. taking into consideration that confidence affects younger players more, it might only take a couple of mistakes to ruin either or both of them, where as an experienced gk will probably have been there before.
Definitely worth consideration, he'll be desperate to get back to 1st team football and might come to us for better wages that he'd get at Ipswich plus, of course, he already knows half our squad.

...for that 4-2 win at Highbury :-)
Not a bad shout though
I believe he has already signed a pre contract agreement to go back to Ipswich.
