  • That's a bloody depressing stat
  • Just another stupid football stat. 12 years is a long time in football. Wimbledon won the FA Cup in 1988 beating Liverpool at Wembley. They were in the Combined Counties League in 2004

The team that beat Liverpool in 1988 are not the same as the team that won promotion today

    FACT
  • On Sky, they commented that they will be playing big clubs like Sheffield Utd, Coventry and Bolton, other clubs in League one next season obviously not believed to be classed as a big club
  • I was there today. Just on my way home.

What a game, absolutely amazing what Wimbledon have done! Can't wait to play them next season :)

  • Another Stat for you

In 1947... Charlton were winning the FA Cup whilst Crystal Palace were doing feck all

In 1947... Charlton were winning the FA Cup whilst Crystal Palace were doing feck all

Another stat, in 1946/47 Charlton was in division 1, in 2016/17 it's in division 1...
  • On a serious note I do love how statisticians always think that teams will stay in the same Division throughout time...

The above one is especially stupid seeing that Wimbledon have been able to climb however many Divisions which means they'd always eventually catch Charlton or Bolton, with us two at the top of the pyramid we cant keep climbing Divisions because there arent enough to keep daylight between us and them!!

Another one trotted out, " this would have been a Premiership fixture XXXX years ago".
