Two EX season ticket holders cycling 1,000 miles for Charity

Hi all

Please read to support two CAFC fans on their journey

http://m.newsshopper.co.uk/news/14516145.Welling_lad_to_cycle_1_000_miles_to_Monte_Carlo_in_memory_of_mum_after__heart_breaking__and_sudden_cancer_death/?ref=fbshr

I've posted in the cycling thread on here but thought our story would interest others.

A friend and myself, both season ticket holders for 15 years up until the end of this campaign, will be cycling 1,000 miles in July to raise money for two charities: Pancreatic Cancer UK and Greenwich & Bexley Community Hospice.

This week our story has reached local media outlets and I must say it has made me really proud to be taking on such a challenge in memory of my friends Mum.

Please if you have time, share our story on social media and click the links to help boost our ratings. The Newsshopper article is brilliant.

We tried to get some interest from CAFC as we wanted to start from The Valley but didn't get anywhere.

We are holding a fundraiser night on July 2nd and if anyone has contacts to help us donate prizes for a raffle then please get in touch.

Thanks
ROLAND OUT

Tom

Yes, good luck to both. I did give at the time I first read it, and will do so again soon. Can anyone remind me where the fundraiser is to be held?

Well done Tom - happily donated - what a sad reflection on CAFC that no interest was shown in your starting from The Valley.
