Getting Behind The New Manager

Well it's all we got.colthe3rd said:
Don't understand not supporting the manager. If you don't its tantamount to wanting the team to do badly. I don't want a Lee Clark or Ian Holloway but if that's who we end up with although disapointed I would still want them to do well. The day that I don't want us to score a goal and win a game is the day I die.
Heard the chant "Charlton till I die" from the north stand many times. Even if I hate the owner and the way the clubs run it won't effect my wanting the team to win.

I'll get behind the new owner(s) when they come in thanks.1

Regardless of who they are ? If and when Roland sells don't assume that it's Peter Varney riding in on a white charger. It could be equally as bad as Roland. The Red Robin said:I'll get behind the new owner(s) when they come in thanks.

I am not impressed by Lee Clark's managerial record, but for the life of me I have always kinda liked him. It may be that every interview i saw with him, he seemed to be battered and bewildered, and feeling it all so much he was about to burst into tears, I just wanted to give him a hug and say something like, 'as long as you keep that glorious Geordie accent you're all right by me'.
Then a little while later, i think he was between jobs, I heard him on Talksport and he was hilarious. I mean genuinely funny, self deprecating, quick witted and quite warm. I couldn't believe it was the same Lee Clark.
I don't dislike him, but of those three I would prefer Nige....provided he got it in writing.0 -
Obviously not regardless. I'm just not supporting anything to do with this mob.ShootersHillGuru said:

What's left of them? I'm not putting any money into Duchatelet's pocket and I think any self-respecting Charlton fan would be mad to.ShootersHillGuru said:The Red Robin said:

I can guarantee that come seasons start we will have 11 starting. Are you saying that those signed from this point on won't get your support ?

I think we should get a manager who we can all get behind. Steve Evans should do the trick, we could all get behind him without being noticed!5

Exactly as I see it. Total boycott. He will only go when he is hit severely financially. Nothing to do with lack of loyalty. This man is destroying the club rapidly. The Red Robin said:

Of the current squad how many decent players do you think will be left and adequately replaced under Duchatelet?ShootersHillGuru said:

If the source of this is the club - then KM has clearly not learnt any lessons from what happened with Chris Wilder.LargeAddick said:0 -

Forget this support the players and manager crap. It's a complete waste of money/time/effort, we WILL NOT progress under this ownership. EVERY ounce of effort and money spent towards football for us should be to get these guys out.
I do not support Charlton to cheer on a team of our youth players trying to personally excel then be moved on, I support Charlton to be competitive. Any manager/coach who signs for us get no respect from me, they will know of what's going on at our Club.3 -
Yep. If mad Roland knows the fans will not turn up, then he will sell up. Hopefully sooner rather than laterAtletico Addick said:Forget this support the players and manager crap. Whoever comes in will be a glove puppet same as Riga, same as Peeters, same ad Luzon same as Fraeye and the same as Riga was second time around.0

Personally don't agree with respect to Riga. But totally agree Duchatelet is an idiot who seeks to impose his ideas on everyone he owns.
And his ideas are unfortunately terrible.0 -
I thought he was a bit of a shortarse? Pretty sure a fair few of us would have to crouch down first. (Not me, I'm even shorter than him).MuttleyCAFC said:I think we should get a manager who we can all get behind. Steve Evans should do the trick, we could all get behind him without being noticed!

Interesting but fair enough. I always kind of hated him. Think it's something to do with that stupid 90% of draws long unbeaten Huddersfield run.seth plum said:I am not impressed by Lee Clark's managerial record, but for the life of me I have always kinda liked him. If he's willing to work for oysten, then he can just about handle the douch. Can't say I dislike him at present. For some reason though he's just a bit annoying.
I'd be moderately ok for him to be Charlton manager now wouldn't be a problem for me.
If it happened and he wanted to take the job I unfortunately think it will just be revolving door. Resigns/gets sacked, would be an equal likeliness outcome within a month imo for him.
Being Charlton manager would not make him happy.0
