    Worry ye not. CARD are meeting on Tuesday to discuss the summer plans. There is no shortage of possibilities. We are going to be busy, even if what we are doing isn't always above the radar. I'm sure we'll be calling for your and others help as things progress.

    Just a quick update......

    Total received now at £28,599

    Including a donation of £500 from the CAS Trust - thanks to our friends and colleagues at the Trust.

    Spend is currently £20,263, leaving about £8,300 - with much of this earmarked for activities over the summer.

    @Curb_It and I are updating and streamlining some aspects of the protest fund over the summer.

    First up - there is now a dedicated Paypal account rather than having to use our personal Paypal accounts.

    I think the pertinent word is 'acceptable'. It seems clear that the terms weren't 'acceptable' to Chris Wilder although the terms offered were 'acceptable' to the regime.
    So if a new manager is appointed who accepts the regime's restrictions would that person be accepted by the fanbase?

    I believe the campaign ought to continue as much and as strongly as possible until such time that an 'acceptable' manager is found, and his or her terms are made explicit, the so called mistakes made are identified by the regime and detailed ways in which they won't be repeated are revealed.

    We would also need to know which personnel will manage the club into next season, in order to completely change the culture of the way the club had been run (and destroyed) so far.

    That's my opinion. Indeed personally I want them out based on what they have done so far, what evidence is there to suggest it won't continue, indeed the Wilder shenanigans suggests that the regime intend to continue as before with this disastrous experiment.

My main concern is that disruption and protest will start from the opening whistle next season .. this, in my opinion will only drive the club further into the mire, especially in the context of destroying the morale of the players before they even get started .. I am also aware that many 'protesters' would not be averse to this outcome
    That's interesting because my main concern is the exact opposite: what if there isn't disruption and protest? For me it is imperative that we keep the pressure on the regime. Frankly, I've written off the chances of us having a half-decent side until the regime has gone. It's not that I want the team to fail on the pitch, it's just that until the regime goes everything else is of secondary importance. I want us to be in the position where we can get behind club and team and all work towards rebuilding Charlton Athletic. That is never going to happen all the time that that the despicable duo are still here. I don't want to see people suckered in by some half-arsed attempt to rebuild only for the demonstrations to stop before the side loses momentum. We lost months after the Woolwich meeting when people felt that the regime needed more of a chance to prove themselves and look where that got us? Nowhere. Whilst it's a positive thing for the campaign that many people won't attend home matches next season (me included), it does mean that the demonstrations in the ground won't be to the same level. The last thing we need is for the remaining home-goers to develop a collective hang-up that stops them from protesting. Anyway, we played better when the demos were on, so that's no excuse to stop.

    Bump.

    It is the end of the month.

    It is also the return of players to training.

    It is also the time to consider the CARD shirt.

    The fund has been a massive achievement and success so far, and having a healthy fighting fund may well prove useful, and at the very worst any leftovers go to charity, so any contribution however humble will contribute to efforts to remind the regime that it is our club.

    Just for information. Tried to set up a direct debit by phone, using the bank details above. My bank, Santander, would not do so quoting just the account number and sort code; they needed further information. The bank person did say it could be arranged by a personal visit to a bank branch, with my proof of identity, such as quote "A Passport".

    I have instead elected to donate money each month by the Paypay method. £10 I had previously donated each month to Valley Gold, plus a further £10.

    I simply phone the bank when I remember, sorted.
    Mind you it is First Direct.
    Made many stupid decisions in my life, but switching from Nat West to First Direct was one of the few good ones.

    Thanks Seth. We haven't been banging on about the fund recently as it felt a bit "cheeky" while things have been a little quieter. But donations have been arriving regularly and are, as always, very much appreciated.

    It's been quite a while since we updated everyone on the Protest Fund, as things have been a little quieter over the summer and in the initial stages of this season.

    However, I am pleased to now report that total income (donations, fund-raising, merchandise etc) is now £34582. That is an increase of £6583 from my end of season report on 10 May. This is thanks to a number of elements - regular monthly donations, some significant "one-off" donations of anything between £100 to over £1000, plus £1000 from the CARD programme sponsorship by Axis Global (thanks again!).

    This income does not yet include anything from profits from the sale of the protest shirts.

    Expenditure has also increased but the balance is "very healthy" as reported bt @Curb_It above. We are certainly well placed to support protests financially as ideas emerge.

    Thanks, as always, to the many of you (and Charlton fans not on CL) who donate so generously to help fight the regime.

    Actually, I walked away with £32 from impromptu donations on Saturday that I have yet to pay into the Protest Fund. Will do now. Thanks for the reminder. And thanks to those who donated as well as @Henry Irving who is pretty damn good at getting money off people as it happens.
