Cardiff City move manager Russell Slade to new role

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/36231307
Russell Slade is to be removed from his role as Cardiff City manager and will take up a new role as head of football.

The club will appoint a head coach to look after the first team, with Slade overseeing scouting among other duties.
So another club having a Head Coach looking after the first team...

Slade is a shrewdie and has been around the lower divisions for a long time .. for me he lacks the passion and 'nastiness' to be a truly effective manager .. I reckon he'll do well in this new role ..

In a way it's a pity he never ended up with us. IF IF he had, we sure wouldn't be in the current mess

If that's truly the arrangement, why did they have to announce it like that? Just keep him on as manager and appoint a first team coach to do the nitty gritty, surely?
