Nope, but good effort. Lindsay Smith and Kevin Smith, but Michael didn't play for the first team according to Wikipedia anyway.

OK, I'll add Smith to the list. I stand corrected (as the patient said to his chiropractor)

Clue for Question 1 - they might be connected because they all like fly fishing or have an GCSE 'O' level in Biology for all I know. The connection I am looking for is something to do with their names......

    So far

    1. No correct answer yet
    2. All played for Portsmouth (one further detail)
    3. All double barrel names - Bart-Williams, Campbell-Ryce, Wright-Phillips, Thuram-Ulien
    4. Jones, Bailey, Davies, Young, Campbell, Reid, Hunt, Stuart, Smith (1 to get)
    5. Jones - Steve, Keith, Mick, Chris, Andy and Ken

Teed up by @PeakieRocket and smashed home by @LenGlover. Alan Wood - one appearance in 1972-73 before heading to Dover Athletic.

The unreliable Wikipedia says that he didn't play. Maybe, he played in a Cup tie??

Replace 1st name with 'James' gets you 2 famous names and 2 vaguely known. I'm struggling here.

Does starting with Holland & Barrett get me any nearer?

It's to do with their surnames. Bond & Holland are the best clues. Just need to add a little something.

    Brilliant effort.....

Steve Browne - 1 appearance before heading to Maidstone in 1982. The full set of answers were:

    1. Add one letter to get another Charlton player
    2. All transferred to Portsmouth
    3. All double barrel names - Bart-Williams, Campbell-Ryce, Wright-Phillips, Thuram-Ulien
    4. Jones, Bailey, Davies, Young, Campbell, Reid, Hunt, Stuart, Smith, Wood
