If I was Riga, I’d have to start with Ba if Diarra isn’t fit. JJ could replace him if he isn’t having a good game, but he can’t be expected to do 90 minutes at the level we need. Diarra will be a big miss though as he gives us a bit of quality and I think it will be a factor in the outcome. I’d rest Harriot for Vetokele too.
Dunno... Ba has been very hit and miss this season, don't think I'd want to run the risk with him in the side for an away game.
Interesting though that Riga has said in his Pre-Match comments that Ceballos is injured...?
Nope I thought that but if you listen carefully he says Ceballos isn't training with the first team.

Ahhh I havent listened to the interview only read the post note at the end of the written report
Yeah but Poyet has been a shadow of his former self since coming back on loan.
Hate to say it but I'd happily send him back to West Ham
I don't know what's happened to him. When he played for MKD against us he looked ok (if nothing special) in a very poor game
I kept thinking he'd get a run of 2-3 games in the side and ease back into his old self. Fortunately for us, unfortunately for him Diarra got fit. That said, I'd still pair him with Jordan tomorrow if Diarra isn't fit. His natural ability to hold and play simple passes is more similar to Diarra's. I think Ba could well come good in a year or two, he's just so raw, and I don't think using him as a holding midfielder, or reverting Cousins back to the deeper midfielder, is ideal.
Again, first choice after Diarra is Solly for me. He has an engine but he's also an intelligent player who reads the game well. When he's been moved into central midfield, both this year and last, I was a bit surprised at how surprised others were. I think, heigh and potentially experience in that position aside, he's well suited to the role. Tenacious and reads the game well, very solid on the ball, good in the air for his height.
Also, agree with FA that if one of Diarra or Kashi had been fit, or better yet had we had more cover at Center Half allowing Diarra to play in midfield more regularly, I don't think we'd be as deep in the mire as we are. He's a natural leader, and he's one of those players who makes everyone around him better.

With his size, they've got him training with the U14s instead
I've not heard the interview yet, does that mean he's been relegated to the U-21s or he isn't fit or we don't know? It'd be harsh if Riga just didn't let him train with the first team. I know he's had a season of injuries but he didn't look that bad a player in the bits I saw. We certainly could have used more creativity this year.
For my prediction I've turned to the format that's called subbuteo, unfortunately the centre forward is snapped and the goalkeeper has one arm missing, still the stadium is uncanny, and the cats nicked the ball, as for result, well the end is nigh.

Yeah. Well he has said before that Ceballos isn't in his plans so I take that to mean he won't be training with the first team. Just my interpretation.

Yeah that sounds like a damning indictment, although it should be noted (especially given English isn't Riga's first language) that this could mean: 1) Doesn't rate him 2) He is training on his own to build up fitness given he didn't have a pre-season, got injured a month in, and has barely featured since, or 3) Isn't in his plans for tomorrow/the run in, which isn't necessarily the same as not rating him
I hope it's one of the latter two. He may not turn out to be a world beater, but he looked like he had something about him, and he was pretty highly rated at Spurs at one point (think he had injury problems there too). We seem to do this thing where we bring in loads of players, and then get rid if they can't make an impact in 6-12 months and recycle them with new players (who often don't have experience in the division). It's no way to run a team, and it's one of the things that prevents us from having a squad.
I would like to see the likes of Sarr, Ba, and CC given a chance in pre-season next year. All of them have talent, all of them have struggled to settle, but not every player hits the ground running from day one, and some that do, like Igor, have issues and need patience and fitness and coaching to help him take his game to the next level.
And now, the end is near And so Charlton face the Relegation curtain My friend, I'll say it clear We wore our masks, We buried our club I'll state Roland Duchatelet a nut case, of which I'm certain I've lived a life that's full I traveled each and every highway and Leicester. Regrets, about the regime I've had so many But then again, too many to mention I did what I had to do, i blew my whistle and kicked my beachball I protested loud without exemption We planned each charted course, We left at 76 minutes and complained outside the west stand And more, much more than this, We did it our way
Yes, there were times, I'm sure you knew When Katrien had bitten off more than she could chew But through it all, when there was doubt I pulled my pork I ate it up and spit it out I faced it all and I stood tall on my box and did it my way
I've loved, I've laughed and cried I've had my fill, more than my share of losing And now, as tears subside, I find it all so amusing To think I did all that and Hull away And may I say, not in a shy way, Varney Army Oh, no, oh, no, not me, I did it my way
For what is a man, what has he got? When his team are shafted and they have scored naught To say the things he truly feels and not the words of a Walloon The record shows we took the blows and did it our way.
Just watched the highlights from Tuesday. Admittedly it's 90 minutes condescended down to 10 but we looked good. We seemed to win the ball high up the pitch and look to get at the Ipswich backline. Without JBG, and arguably Igor, I think we lack just a little bit of composure in the final third. Lookman and Harriott are great at working space, but both still look a little bit rushed when going for goal (though it should be said Callum has started looking more at ease this season). Sanogo always looks like he's all nerves and unpredictability, sometimes in a bad way and sometimes in a good way (I rate him and think he got harsh treatment at Arsenal because he looks awkward but as we've seen he's awkward to play against).
Changed my mind a bit from before, I'd still drop Callum for Igor if JBG is fit, but think I'd put him on the right in JBG's role if not. Would have Lookman from the left, and Igor and Mak up front. Actually torn between Mak and Sanogo. QPR don't have Hill and Dunne at the back anymore, but both center halves are still 6'3''. Wonder if Sanogo's mobility is better suited.
My Charlton shirt is in transit to Perth Western Australia , my Derby county mate said "you must have got it on Religation special"... But we know better !!! Or do we...?
0-3 loss. Is it me or would other people have expected to have Heard something about the JBG and Diarra injuries by now? Or is it you lot filling the Comms teams valuable time with silly complaints about the club owner, so we can't find out who's injured?
Good luck to all who travel, especially the XVIII. Never liked Loftus Road - always found it charmless and inhospitable, a collection of sheds with seats, really no more than an industrial estate with a big lawn ....
Fat Boy Jim is still waiting to make an impact - hope it doesn't happen today.

3-0 QPR and then please, please get rid of that bloody hopeless woman, so we can start some sensible re-building for next season.
Keep him far away from the team this afternoon.
