Seems a bit weird and not sure where it leaves the promoters of old (Hearn, Warren etc) going forward0

Just coincidence that Eddie Hearn has confirmed he is "close to retirement" in the same week this new boxing promotion news comes out?1

British boxing is at a funny place now, no real crops of exciting fighters capable of leading a big show outside of their home towns. A few exceptions in Moses Itauma, Dubois who I'm not totally convinced on but has taken his chance. Archie Sharp I thought was the next big hope, Dennis McCann another one who has failed a drug test. I love Chris Billam-Smith but his fights are for people that appreciate the way he fights and not for the crossover fans. Nick Ball i also love watching, but apart from boxing fans nobody knows him.

Two poor fighters.

Imagine putting that ridiculous helmet on to have losing scorecards read out.

Whittaker v Cameron 2 about to start0
-
I really hope Cameron splats the smug twat.0
-
Same, Ben Whittaker must be one of the most unlikeable people in boxing.1
-
I don't mind him
Certainly talks the talk.
Let's see0 -
What a shit stoppage.0

He has no class at all. Watched him showboating against journeymen opponents earlier in his short career and took an instant dislike to the guy. Shame really, as he has talent and does not need to do that.

When will fighters learn that its such a dangerous game to play acting like that. I can think of only Mayweather and Naz who pulled it off and Naz came unstuck because he tried to box-fight Barrera when he should have backed himself. That said Barrera proved himself time and time again and was a class act then and still is now
Whittaker I bet will come out with some bollocks like all publicity is good publicity or if people are paying to see me get knocked out then great but he is not even close to selling tickets at any level to live with behaviour like that. His people mucked Liam Cameron about non-stop to load the dice in Whittakers favour and whilst the stoppage was early I thought Cameron was done.
James Degale did the same and as a result spent most of his career being resentful, missing out on big money making fights because he was unlikeable and crucially not half as good as he thought he was

I’ve seen Whittaker a few times and he is wholly unlikeable. I can see I’m going to spend the next ten years wanting him to get sparked. He’s got fast hands that can look good against a cumbersome domestic like Cameron but no idea whether he can step up or not. Hopefully it’s not and gets schooled by some tough old skooler.
Earlier on the card Sam Eggington had another battle. I first saw him in 2014 and I don’t think I’ve ever seen him not be in a war. Proper game lad2 -
I like Sam Egginton, his fights are always interesting. Not sure they are great for his long term health mind1

I really don't like boxer's, Golfers, footballers etc thanking Jesus or their deity for their victories; stop children dying in wars and of cancers should be the priority.
Agree, Whittaker isn't likeable but does have fast hands. My question is. Can Whittaker take a punch ?

Naseem was class, my favourite boxer growing up. Despite being a cocky little sod he was still charismatic, and could back it up in the ring. Whittaker just comes across as a plonker.1

Eubank v Benn at the weekend subject to the usual weight/doping fiasco. Anyone interested?0
-
Have gone for Eubank to win in 7th and 8th rounds - both 16/10
-
Eubank looked very depleted to me today. Got me worried Benn will beat him
