Since I was young-I've followed them
Ever since my dad took me to the valley for the 1st time aged about 7 or 8 in 73 or 74
I was hooked for life on charlton athletic
The passion of following cafc is passed on through generations of family's
Rd and km please note you cannot buy that passion it's not for sale
My old dad saw a lot of changes good or bad
But nothing like what's going on now
We are fans not customers and we will still be here long after you've sodded off back to Belgium to tinker with you're other half dozen or so clubs
We will get this proud club back where it belongs
You may be trying to kill our club but you will never rip the heart out of it because that's us the fans
Now you can watch every game looking down on us
You never got to see the reading game but we lost anyway
Thanks for getting me to follow this great club
Rip dad

You followed on.
You have a lot to thank him for.
COYR.
Sorry to hear your news.
Best wishes at this difficult time.
Your dad, like mine will be looking down on Charlton and thinking "what the fuck are they doing."
My last game with him was Sheffield Wednesday away when Sordell got that hat trick. I'm going again tomorrow and will continue to make that effort to go up to Hillsborough whenever we play there. It's the one Charlton related thing that I can't let go of.
RIP to your old man
Really sorry to hear of your loss.

My old dad passed in 1998, having got me addicted in the 60/61 season. I feel he's with me every time I go to the Valley. You'll feel the same about your dad too.
We was all here before the Belgium invasion and we'll all still be here long after they retreat back were the came from
Its times like this that we are like no other club
We was born charlton
We didn't have to buy it!!

Rip fellow Charlton fan
Seeing just a pic of that floral tribute to him chokes me up.
Brings back memories, lost my Dad 25 years ago come Easter Monday and still hurts like hell. He was only 54 but he took me down the Valley at the age of about 5 and the rest is history!!
God bless.
May you remember all of the good times.
RIP
