As some of you may have guessed from my posting recently, I've been spending more time working from home than usual. 
To give my day a bit of variety though I've opted to try and get out and work in different places; I've found working from the same four walls, albeit with coffee machine, comfy desk and home comforts has been a bit of a drag. So on Wednesday I opted to work from Bromley's very own library.
I arrived in the afternoon and found a vacant bit of desk space before meticulously laying out my laptop, notepads and stationary. I connected my phone and tethered it before connecting to my VPN - perfect, ready for some productivity.
As I opened Chrome up I was horrified when this blurted out on full volume... [NSFW w/ volume]

In 6 brutally painful seconds I'd managed to ruin my whole afternoon. Being the trooper that I am, I pretended to be oblivious - alas, I don't think it was fooling anyone.
See, although I'd meticulously laid all my belongings out and taken care to plug in the essentials - my phone and my laptop - my earphones were still plugged in to my phone. For reasons completely unknown to me, I'd put my laptop to sleep seemingly with that video buffering in a Chrome tab.

I appear to have bookmarked it, but I suspect that may have been a mate trying to be funny - because I also have a lot of Spice Girls video bookmarked and some Will Young.. No idea why the tab was open though.0 -
