Nigel de Jong. Brilliant defensive midfielder, reads the game incredibly well, and is actually very technically gifted--he started as a #10 at Ajax before Sneijder moved him back.
Pablo Zabaleta, really nice, really funny guy, hell of a footballer.
Xabi Alonso, his range of passing and reading of the game are remarkable, doesn't get the praise he deserves. And handsome to boot.
I do like Harry Kane . He has that look of an amateur about him - seems to love playing football and works tirelessly . He gives the impression of being a decent bloke too
Yeah him and Dele Alli from the Spurs squad are definitely likable.
If your a kid coming through the system who makes the right sort of choices (Alli / Gomez / Butland) then I'll always like them, if your a kid coming through the system like Sterling then I hate your guts!!
Definitely le tissier. The kind of player we all dreamed of being in our back gardens. One club man, absurdly good technique, scored amazing goals and liked a pie or two. A real fan's footballer
David Beckham. Just seems like a decent bloke and family man (disregarding the alleged incident with Ms Loos). Does lots of charity work and has / is great ambassador for our footballing nation IMO.
Probably someone else equally deserving who I've met and completely forgotten about. But also shout out to Le Tiss for same reasons as someone has said - one club man, genius footballer and seems decent chap too.
sorry but no TRUE family man does what he did even if you wife is a complete bell end
Okay bit of a twist... Who is your favourite Charlton player under the Roland era?
It has to be one of the foreign signings (yet Hendo / Watt not included as again they'd be obvious choices)
For me has to be Astrid Ajdarevic for the taxi driver video he did along with Jorge Teixeira... Really like his attitude since joining and is a promising sign of the player that Riga could sign if we can stay up

Thuram for pure comedy value, and the fact he refused to to travel to Leeds.
But in terms of playing ability I'd have to go with TBH.

Ben Haim was awesome for most of his time here. Tailed off towards the end. Despite recent loss of form, JBG is a quality player

A player that I have always liked, is Gary Mabbutt. Ain't sure why, maybe because he done so well getting to where he did with type 1 diabetes from a young age

My parents bought me his book when I was diagnosed with it at 15 to try and help me come to terms with it. Met him at a do once and he was a really nice guy. I believe that Alan Kernaghan and Danny McGrain (the old Celtic left back) had it too). In his book he told the story of when he played at Everton not long after he has been diagnosed. Someone form the crowd threw a bag of sweets at him and shouted "eat those you spastic"
Troy Deeney. Met him once, absolute gentleman. Had my son with me and he really took the time out to chat to him. I know he had a bit of a checkered youth, but he's obviously turned that around because you'd struggle to meet an nicer more genuine bloke. Glad he's doing so well in the prem now with Watford and hope he gets an England call up soon. Although we're strong in the striker department at the moment so can't see it for the foreseeable.

I can't speak of the man because I never met him, but in terms of pure footballing ability, the player I like the most out of all those I've seen live is George Best.

I had the great good fortune of knowing George in the late 80's - and aside from his idiocy with the booze (although he clearly had no strength to combat his addiction) and disrespect for the two donors who gave him a chance to live, he was both the greatest footballer I have ever seen and one of the nicest, kindest, funniest and most self-effacing people I have ever known.

It's got to be Johann for me. I think he's a really gifted player, despite the fact that he seems to be falling into scapegoat territory (yes some of his corners are rubbish, but some aren't). He's more two footed than he's given credit for sometimes, and from what I've seen he tracks back and covers his fullback. He's played a lot of matches in the last year between Charlton and Iceland, I really hope he still has something in him for the Euros. The Championship is not a friendly league to an attacking winger who usually plays in a 4-4-2 and has to pick the ball up in midfield, but credit to him he seems to have adapted pretty well. Comes across as well spoken and down to earth in interviews.
Fancis Coquelin would be the other one. I got to see him play twice when he was here. Clearly a cut above. In the pub after we'd all really hoped Arsene had forgotten about him because he was out of contract in the summer and maybe, just maybe, he'd want to stay....

Always had a lot of man love for Becks!!

For me having him in our midfield would complete that area of the team for me and is all our midfield is missing
Either way, fucking Ian Taylor! I liked him.

Lastly, Alou Diarra. He's just class.
