Can anyone make the accounts available?

I just checked the accounting tools at work and they aren't up there yet so presumably you have to get them straight from companies house
    Ta.
  • It just gets worse, doesn't it? I mean, even if the deluded old fool does decide to sell us, he's going to want stupid money for us....stupid money for a basketcase club in the third tier....

    So depressing.

I have to look for some kind of positive in all this, or I'll just feel like sticking my head in the oven - so I'm going to focus on thinking about that happy day when we find out we are free of that malevolent old halfwit and his incompetent cronies....when we find out that he has sold up and we can now start thinking about rebuilding again, like a phoenix from the flames. We have done it before and we will do it again - and when we know we are at the start of that journey once more where we can thinking about moving forwards again rather than slowly slipping backwards agonizingly as we are now.....it will be a momentous day, and I for one will celebrate like a crazy bastard.

So, I'm just going to think about that day instead.

    Rant over, sorry folks.
  • Interest for that year owed to Staprix amounted to £955k

About 32000 £30 tickets just to pay the interest.
  • Interest for that year owed to Staprix amounted to £955k

And £351,000 for 2014. That is a total of £1,346,000 in two years!
Whilst those are big numbers, they aren't that big for people like Roland who has half a billion to his name. I've never been great at understanding financial conspiracies, but surely the last few years is quite a bit of effort to go through simply to try and make a couple of million in interest from us?

It would seem that my hopes of Duchatelet dropping dead any time soon were misplaced.

He is clearly a vampire and will still be around with his skanky undead bride long after Charlton Athletic is an emaciated, exsanguinated husk!
  • I feel like crying - i'll cry at the funeral Sunday instead.

  • His endgame is becoming more evident. Same as what happened at STVV - just re-read Dreke's posts - he'll run the club down and start to build up other business empire such as Hotel, shops, entertainment etc and sell the club, get rent paid for the ground etc. - he might not be owning us at some point in the future , but he will still have his boot around our throats.

Roland is not stupid. If he wanted to start a hotel, residential, entertainment and retail business in London, the very last place he would look to do it would be in a scruffy side street in SE7. With the added complication of a professional football club.

There might be scope for some small residential development but above that I don't see this as his plan.

The club is still operating at a loss so presuming that is his plan, the only income he'd have would be from the hotel and entertainment facilities. Is that kind of facility worth £38m+? I'd be inclined to say no. And it'd have to make a hell of a profit to cover the clubs losses.

If he is banking on making a success of the hotel and entertainment idea then he's risking a lot on Greenwich council regenerating the area.
The plans for Greenwich regeneration will see a huge change to the local area with a lot of new housing replacing industrial units. Consequently the demographic of the area will alter markedly - and if Roland is playing the long game here he's likely to do well financially if he converts the valley to a multi-purpose entertainment venue. Currently it's only used to any capacity for home games - so there's a lot of scope for ongoing revenue.
Mind you he'd do even better financially if the club were being enabled to push for promotion to the Premiership - that is a money spinner if you play the game right.

Also - these are just the accounts to June 2015 (I wonder if they include the Gomez fee ?) so there's no telling how much worse it's got over this season.

They do. It's in the notes.
I haven't actually seen the accounts - how much are they saying we got for Gomez ?
Profit on player disposals = £4.4m largely Gomez and Poyet
  • Does the cashflow statement show gross player purchases and sales? Some of the extra borrowing must have been for purchases I would think?

  • @Airman Brown points out on twitter that yet again KM isn't shown as being paid by Charlton.

Would have to be declared for FFP, or at least it should be.

So she isn't even employed by Charlton.

@Airman Brown implies, or perhaps I infer, that she or Roland might be embarrassed by how much or how little she earns.

Intersetingly though the last page says "During the year transactions took place between the football company and certain directors in relation to ma

I was looking at it from the club's point of view not RD's As he is so wealthy he could have used this money to retain some of the experienced staff he jettisoned out the door. I own my own business and have loaned it money in the past with zero interest. If I was worth half a billion it would not even enter my head.
  • Interesting point. See page 25 of the accounts. States that £6.24million possibly due from player sales based on future appearances etc etc. Is this all Gomez?

So the have put us £38mill further into debt and all we have to show for it is some utter shit players and a relegation. #Rolandonlydoessuccess

That £38m includes what he paid for the club, because he left the money owed to the previous holding company on the books. He just took over the debt, so in effect part of the total is the losses run up by the spivs.
  • Baton need to file for bankruptcy.

    Duchatelet needs to F*** off.

Varney needs to pick up the pieces.
  • Very interesting. I started a thread a while back about the money we owe to Staprix, at 3% interest. The repiles that I got were generally that the loan could be regarded as a sort of quasi-equity, and not a big issue. As my knowledge of finances is cloudy to say the least, I left it there, but this has been something I've been thinking about for a while. While Riga, Mak and Poyet may come and go, this money is snowballing, and I still see no reason why RD cannot stick it to the club in order to keep his other operation solvent. My memories of the spokesman who took over Standard Liege afte Roland sold up are that he said RD left them with every bit of money available drained, and that they are planning a year or two of austerity to recover from the disaster that is Roland Rat and his accountancy plans. And the twat has the nerve to pop up in the SLP and say that a takeover would destabalise the club. And what exactly is running up a huge unpayable debt going to do.
Maybe that Murray bloke who sang so highly in praise of RD could explain how this plan is to the advantage of the club he supposedly loves.
  • Any respectable club would provide comment from their chief financial officer after such a data release.

    Cue more silence.
  • Murray can explain, because last time we went down to third division he and fellow directors had around £8mn of Bank debt, a £15mn Convertible Bond and about £32 mn of Equity raised that was all wiped out except Bank Loans, which had Charges over all the assets.Only difference this time is Ex Directors Loans of £7mn have replaced Banks and Roland is just about to get wiped out.

So it turns out that Katrien is hourly paid on effectively a zero hours contract. That explains her late arrival times for work. It also explains why no real work appears to get done anyway.
You simply can't get the staff.

No wonder we can't get a reply to an email!

    Turnover

Half the turnover from matchdays, if this isn't prompting a total boycott I dunno what will. No season tickets, pay on the days, no programmes, no food, no drinks.
