From listening to the Charlton Live interview, apparently a couple of the initiatives from this group are:
- Free away travel - Getting the players to come over and acknowledge supporters at the end of the match
How do either of these increase attendances at The Valley?
I don't wish to be critical of these guys giving up their time to try and do their best for Charlton, but I am struggling to see how on earth this will achieve anything other than allow KM to claim she is working with/ listening to (a very small group of unrepresentative) fans?
The bloke being interviewed also said that his first game at Valley was against Port Vale and there were well over 20k in attendance - really ????
If the sofa remains despite the landslide vote against it, or some other stupid gimmick replaces it, then T20K clearly have no influence.
"Unique real fan experience" was what Miere said in Dublin. The real fan experience is that during 90 minutes, there are no fake gimmicks, no sofas, no music after goals, no cheerleaders, no stupid stuff on the scoreboard. Away fans pounce on American gimmicks like that, in fact what must the visiting players think when they come out to warm up and see a sofa?

19,256 in the title winning 1999/2000 season.
No pulled pork, no techno, no sex tapes. Just Sir Clive and Oh Andy Hunt banging em in, a decent match not a matchplay experience.
However, her product is shite and the customers aren't buying it.
Let's see if she can figure the rest out...
Edit; Airman was invited on but declined 'gracefully' IIRC.
