I just don't feel any connection to this Charlton team, I know of 2 season tickets that will be staying at home this weekend and possibly won't see the light of day again this season.
After the clear-out in the summer of anyone on a decent wage, it's hard to see us having a team that will get us promotion. Actually, it's hard to see this lot with the high wager earners winning promotion.
When we look back on this period - arguably the worst in CAFC history - we will be hard put to name most of those sub-standard 'players' who will make a few appearances before riding off into the sunset. The only contribution we will recall is Roland's and the Squirrel. End of the road for me I'm afraid, will see out the season and 'retire' until these people who have murdered our club have gone - and I fear I will not be in the minority. Let's see how they survive on gates of 6-7,000.
"I've had a good run out this evening," Fanni thought to himself. "If I'm honest though, I'm not as tight as I once was." He sighed and sat down on the pitch at the final whistle. Plagued by a perennial low sense of self-esteem, his thoughts turned to the others: "The boys won't be happy with me on that showing."
Have to say the Radio Lancashire commentary, via 5 Live Sports Extra, was okay - sympathetic noises re: the fans, main commentator saying he'd a mate not going to renew...
