  • Posh looked streets ahead of us - played some nice football.

Yet we thrashed them 4-1 at the start of the season?

    With our youth team basically.
  • Erhun Oztumer on as sub

Released by us a long time ago

    known as the turkish messi
  • You see the kind of football played by the Posh a league 1 side last night against WBA and you know that are current squad would be relegated from league 1 as well. The future looks bleak.

You've got to remember that Posh were forced to raise their game (or West Brom lowered theirs).

Else if Peterborough can draw with Premier League clubs why are they in 8th and 16-points from top?
  • Samuelson played against us in the pre-season friendly and was the best player on the pitch by a mile. After that game we should have been on West Ham's case for a loan deal.

So, do you think our lot would have been capable of playing like that?

Why arent Peterborough in the Premier League if they can play like that? - Why arent Exeter in the Premier League if they can hold Liverpool to a 2-2 draw? - We saw MK Dons thrash Manchester United in the League Cup but cant hold their own in the Championship

Its because they cant keep it up every week...

Maybe not but since the first few games of the season we haven't even come close to how Posh played last night. There is no energy, pace, flair or team spirit in our side at present.

If as most of us expect we get relegated then I can't see our current squad being particularly competitive in League 1.

  • Doesnt help that constantly losing games will knock a teams confidence, they'll doubt themselves and even when simple passes dont seem to come off they'll be even more reluctant to try any flair because they wont want to be seen as the person who loses the match.

Peterborough on the other hand were in a Cup competition last night... they had nothing to lose by going out there and playing however they wanted. West Brom were the Premier League team so were always expected to win whereas whats the worst that could have happened for Peterborough, they could have lost 5-0 but they wouldnt have lost any points, they wouldnt have been at risk from relegation or blowing their promotion chances.

Another example... Exeter... Drew 1-1 with Liverpool, could then only manage a 1-1 draw with Morecambe

  • Nice to see Foster did not milk it at the end. Had what i think a sympathetic word with the young lad.

Yeah really liked seeing that myself... West Brom only won the match with that shootout not the Cup itself so for them to not milk it at the end was really nice and respectful to see, was a nice way to acknowledge how well Peterborough had played

Their attitude seemed to mirror their manager. He seems a decent bloke but very prickly. I would not want to be a journalist that has to ask him testing questions!
