What if...

Theoretically speaking - If we were to beat Liverpool and god knows they deserve it after Saturday, West Ham points deduction goes through the courts and Wigan lose to Boro we could still stay up...

Now would anyone want to stay up on a technicality? Or do we think that a short spell in the Championship is good for the club in the long term?

Personally i'm split in that the money on offer for Charlton would be fantastic, we'd be able to hold onto a few of better players but we'd still be left with players that were filling space in the squad, we'd be buying in elastoplast players to patch up holes in the team. In the Championship we can see where we went wrong, lose some of the dead wood and rebuild for the future...

  • I actually think going down will be good for us. Travelling supporters can do with a change of scenary, the new fans we've picked up can receive a reminder that there is a good wide world outside the Premiership, and Pardew can hopefully get on with some decent long-term rebuilding of the squad.
  • Oh, please.

Don't waste time with all this crap, the Prem are not going to change their minds and we ain't winning at Anfield.

    Its over, move on.
