They need to be the right signings. They need to be players good enough to compete in The Championship, minimum, and they need to be part of along-term plan, not short-term deals until the end of the season again.
As usual, its all about the budget. That's why Duchatelet is so desperate to flog Watt. I wouldn't be surprised if today was the last time we see Watt play in a Charlton shirt. I will be double impressed with Riga if he wins the argument and gets to keep Watt for the rest of the season
Very telling that Vaz Te, Johnson, Williams and Poyet didn't start today
Even louder that Williams wasnt even on the bench, especially as someone mentioned a few weeks ago that his loan agreement meant that he had to be involved
