Will Pardew be there next season

edited May 2007 in General Charlton
I bloody hope so but I get this nagging feeling he won't be. Dunno why ...

As for last night berbatov absolute class wasted in that fucking tinpot club.

Decided to go back in after the game as I had left and went to the Lower tier - good job I did as I got Alan Pardew's black top that he was wearing that he threw in to the crowd. Quality.

  • Looking at current vacancies i can't see why he would go anywhere else but football's a strange old game.

Hope he at least stays for next season but in the end we have the replacement already there in parky
  • I think he will be
  • The way he talks he certainly thinks he will be ..... so I do too. I think it would take a big money job to persuade him to go, because here he knows he has the full support of chairman and fans despite failing to keep us up.

I suppose Man City would be a possibility, but I don't see him leavnig to be honest.
  • Hope so- End of
  • Of course he'll bloody be here next year.

The bloke got shafted by the Spammers and he is clearly very grateful that we came in for him and gave him another chance so soon.

For our part, Murray clearly rates him very highly and there is no way he will be going anywhere if RM has anything to do with.

We need stability now folks and so does Pards, that's why we're perfect for each other.
  • I was sceptical at first, i got the impression he saw us as a bit of a no lose situation considering the position we were in, a stop gap, and that we weren't prestigious enough for him.

But i think over time his opinion may have changed, and i think (and hope) we've had a bit more impact on him than he would of expected. He's warmed to us.

I don't think he is a massiah by any stretch, and i've been unimpressed with the last couple of team selections, but he represents our best chance of boucing straight back, i hope he stays, and i'll be giving him 100% support.
  • AFKA, I understand what you mean about his team selections but you can only re-arrange a pile of shite a couple of different ways before people still realise its a pile of shite.

Rommedahl, Ambrose or Thomas - all ineffective.

Marcus Bent, Lisbie or JFH to partner Dazza - all ineffective.

Thatcher or Herman at left-back - both liabilities.

Elk, Herman, Diawara, Fortune at center-half - all mistake prone.

Holland or Faye to partner Song in midfield - neither really good enough at the top level.

Its harsh, I know, but the bloke was picking from a piss poor squad so what can you really expect, especially once people worked us out a bit?
  • No doubt Pards is staying, he has been impressed with the Can do attitude of everyone at the club which has already put West Ham to shame. Think he'll be here for a while yet.
  • Although i'm not a fan, Romm would of got at that left back better than Ambrose would of last night. Ambrose hasn't performed since we stopped winning, and at some point Romm should of been used as an attacking option.
  • Rommedahl was injured according to Pards, that's why Sam was on the bench.

How the feck he can be injured I do not know.

  • we are all the greatest manager with hindsight, but i felt he stopped trying to win games and our doubts crept back in.also i think song is a pure bluff.
