Well that was fun....

I didn't feel as down as I though I would last night.

Until two c**** jumped me on the way home, now I'm sitting here sportin' a lovely broken nose that's only stopped bleeding about an hour ago.

What is wrong with some people.

  • Sorry to hear that mate.

You going on the bus next week to Liverpool. If so, then see you on it.
  • I am indeed, see you then.
  • oh aye.

It will be my final outing to a Charlton game whilst living in Kent as this time next week I will be packing my bags permenently and moving oop Norf where local games at Hull, Scunny, Preston and Burnley will be on the menu for me.

It will be a great day out on Sunday no matter what.

As for atmosphere at the ground, hopefully it will be simiar to that when we went down in 1990 when our final game of the season was away at Man U.

However after that, it took 8 years to go up........

    Charlton 'til I die.
  • i had a bit scuffle with a couple of Spurs mugs on the way back up Floyd Road with a well known "old school hooligan" that my old man used to hang about with after the game.

luckily for me a few horses came around the corner!

No such luck for me, my nose is bloody killing me, it's also just started to bleed again.

    Great.
  • stu,
were they spuds that jumped you? or just a couple of scroats that regularly assault people in the cherry orchard area? that place is an absolute nightmare, as close to a 'no go' area as you can get.
  • sorry to hear that Stu. What happened ?

Oh was that you -- who was the erbert plastered on the ground by 3 coppers - was he a spud - not a very happy one at that.
  • Too be honest, I couldnt tell you, they where walking behind me, I sped up, got spun around, smacked right in the nose and off they went, brave lads by all accounts.

I've never had any trouble on the Cherry Orchard, although it is a pain in the arse getting a pizza delivered here.
  • that is grim stu. Did they rob anything or just break your nose for the fun of it?
    toerags.
Another yellow sign up near cherry orchard - didnt get to read the full sign but said something about serious disorder.

  • Sorry to hear that Stu, still at least you will look really cool when the Bruises on your eyes come out. Probably not so cool though when you have to wear that plastic cast over your nose held in place with Elastoplast after it has been reset for about a week after. :-)
  • Bloody hell Stu!

First PBS does his wrist, now someone's tried to take you out of the Charity game.

Largeaddick, if you don't stop this harrassment of my team things will get ugly!

    Get well soon Stu
  • No way Stu! We only left you minutes before. Sorry to hear it mate.

    .

This is what annoyed me the most, if they had taken something I could kinda understand their motives but they didnt even try.
  • i'm unclear, was it local idiots, or a couple of Spurs fans ?

    Not a clue.
  • Sorry to hear tha Stu, hope you recover well.
    Was this near the ground?
  • Sorry to hear it, Stu. Where did this happen?

That yellow board at the top of Victoria Way's just annoying - the "serious disorder" it talks about was six bloody weeks ago...

stu i keep thinking about this. what little shites.
  • Sorry to hear Stu

Wouldn't be at all surprised if they were Spuds.

Where's this Cherry Orchard you guys mention?
  • I lived in Cherry Orchard between the ages of 10 and 21 - wasn't the greatest then but we never had the extent of trouble there seems to be now.
Don't know you Stu, but best wishes - hope you feel better for Liverpool.

Stay out of there medders its not what your thinking!!!
  • Leave it Dyer, leave it!!!

    ;-)
  • Cherry Orchard is the housing estate here, used to be very run-down and is still rough around the edges.

The sign annoys me because it's six weeks too late. And the greedy-property-owner in me thinks it's probably been up for too long...
  • I cant believe it stu. sorry mate. i saw a gobby charlton fan giving it large to a load of spuds right in front of us on the way back. Thought it was all gonna go off.

Its always when your on your own. At least your gonna look ultra hard nut in scouseland Sunday!
  • Stu - how are you feeling today?

Did you report this to the police by the way?
  • yes stu did you report it and did you go to hospital to get it re-set?

we drove past last night, the yellow sign is down Inspector, but perhaps we can have another one up for stu's incicent.
