  • Just take it on the chin troops and enjoy it all the more when we give them a pasting next year.

At the end of the day we've got Alan Pardew they've got Peter Taylor (rejected by us in the post Curbs interviews).

We've got Richard Murray, they've got Simon Jordan.

We've got Darren Bent (for another couple of weeks anyway), they've got Clinton Morrison.

Let SOS have his little gag, they've had almost as bad a season as we have.

We've certainly had a more boring season.
  • Isn't it funny SoS when you have a boring mid-table season, get to laugh at another club's misfortune near the end, and they all go ballistic ???
  • Sore head and sore spirits this morning - cup of tea and this seems funny now. No worries SOS.

[cite]Posted By: Ketman[/cite]Come on Guys SOS is surely allowed to post something like that.

Was a bit late into work this morning listening to talkshite on the way in, the amount of messages from Palace fans saying how 'Glad all over' they were about us going down but ALSO claiming that they were not our rivals.....that did make me laugh.

    Bring on the Championship

    I agree.

SOS is fully entitled to his moment of reflected glory.

Although I didn't gloat in the way some did at the demises of our South London I enjoyed the CAFC version of amarillo :)

Yes SOS, enjoy it while it lasts I'm sure you and many other glaziers supporters fell very content with the events of last night.

On the other hand, (in the words of Hobson) "go Sc**w yourself."

    Love and peace

    Alex
  • I was prehaps a little to sharp earlier, but you're still a stripey shirted wanker.
  • [cite]Posted By: son of selhurst[/cite]ENJOY THE CHAMPIONSHIP! :-)

I got picked up for having a pop at you before sunshine, but now it's plain for all to see what a knob you are.

    NOW F*CK OFF!

You tell me? That sounds like the premier league season of 2005.

    AFKA

If relegation meant that CAFC would go into financial meltdown and the whole clubs future was in doubt, then I would not have posted anything as I would not consider that a very reasonable way to behave.

But it doesn't , CAFC will rightly be installed as one of the favourites for promotion and in all probability will be in there at the end of the season fighting for promotion. I'm hardly dancing on your grave!

As an aside it's interesting when you read on this board about the best moment's you have enjoyed as CAFC supporters, how many site the best moments as being games outside the 7 years you have had in the Prem.

    Life clearly goes on.

And if you by some bizarre freak result you manage to beat us next season, I'll be here to take it on the chin. (if i'm not banned by then)

  • Come on troops, lets be adult about this and take SOS's comments in the spirit in which they are intended.

We ALL had a right laugh about sending Palace and Tango Man down (I do still watch that Fortune goal occasionally and the post-match to see how gutted Tango Man was) and now its their turn to have a pop at us, that's just the way it goes and if we can't take it then we should not dish it out in the first place.

We've had SEL bragging rights for the last 10 years without breaking sweat, now we have to get out and earn them again.

Agreed Kets, quite tame really I thought for a supporter of a rival local team - surely you can have a little dig at another team without it being deemed childish. Some of the strong responses are probably because a lot of people are hurting from last night, personally I was resigned to relegation after the Wycombe fiasco, the spirited revival gave us renewed hope (the hope that killed us) of survival, but I have enjoyed the season and am looking forward to enjoying the Chapionship!

I think you'll find we've not lost a league game to you this century and have won our last two league game in SE25.

You're always good for a stat henry! Luckily for us these games will be played in the future and not the past.
  • I have no problem with SOS's dig, he did after all leave the last two words off :o)

How long before the orange t055er has his say I wonder - now that may well be a little less in good humour me thinks !

See you next season SOS - expect a few more CAFC at Selhurst than you bargin for and a few more choruses of sha la la when you play at The Valley.

    lol
  • Son of Selhurst said You're always good for a stat henry! Luckily for us these games will be played in the future and not the past.

Knowing your history is just having facts at hand to support, or in this case, deflate, an opposing arguement.

And you are wrong again. when the games are played it will be the present. ;-)
  • Is that as in the "6 points" present Henry?
    ;o)
  • LOL you're on form today.

  • Merry Christmas everybody!
  • Looking at the links, there's a number of Palace fans who reckon "that's it" - but I suspect their rent a quote chairman will be at it over the summer.

I think this is only round two and next year Charlton will show what a quality club we are while Palace struggle now that their parachute money has run out. Would love to clinch promotion at their place - when's the fixture list out?
  • [quote][cite]Posted By: seriously_red[/cite]Would love to clinch promotion at their place [/quote]

Yes, I'm sure Susan would love that, here's a mail that she sent out towards the end of the current season to to her adoring faithful ...........

.............. From our records I can see that you have supported the club by attending games this season and I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for this and at the same time put an offer to you, for your continued support, until the end of the season.

Three of our last four home games are against teams vying for a promotion or a play-off spot and they are likely to be bringing large numbers of away support in anticipation and I will be damned if they are going to have a party in our house. They are not going to have one on the pitch, neither will they in the boardroom and I certainly do not want them to have one in the stadium.

We can beat any team in this league and we can certainly win 4 home games, therefore setting ourselves up for either a magnificant finish to the season or a strong confidant start for the next campaign as well. Meanwhile always reminding these teams who we really are and not allowing them further enjoyment or celebration at Selhurst Park.

    etc.

Imagine what she'll write if Mr. Murray and friends turn up for a potential promotion party :o)
