Roland administers fresh poison into Charlton in each decision, he's not got good intentions and if you go to future CAFC matches you are supporting him not just the players3
-
Players who have been getting regular match time are hardly going to be sent out on loan, plus in Johnsons case, the Indian PL finished the week before Christmas. What do you expect?0
-
Nope. Support the team not the regime.mycarImissu said:Roland administers fresh poison into Charlton in each decision, he's not got good intentions and if you go to future CAFC matches you are supporting him not just the players

I have been reliably informed that that football in India has never really taken off 'cos whenever someone gets a corner they want to open a shop on it.carly burn said:CAFCspooney said:Players who have been getting regular match time are hardly going to be sent out on loan, plus in Johnsons case, the Indian PL finished the week before Christmas. Cricket is better and more popular in India, because of the runs.Baldybonce said:

Blimey baldy it's like love thy neighbor flashback time0 -
I have been underwhelmed by the introductions. Poyet was great when he left us, but more recently, has not been wanted by MK Dons. I said at the time of his leaving, it was a monetary decision he made rather than a career one. He has damaged that career so I suppose that is a good message for our young players who may assume they can leave us and do a Gomez! Johnson's original departure was not treated with howls of anger and Williams has played virtually no football for two years. If you calculate the cost of relegation, you have to see that you have to give yourself more of a chance with the players you bring in. It isn't about budgets anymore, it is about the cost of relegation. Three loans of a higher quality would make a massive difference. The three we have brought in do strengthen the squad a little, but not enough. We need three more. The original three may still have a part to play and we know Poyet has potential and Johnson is a safer introduction than Sarr at the minute.
I think to give us a chance, we still need a defender, possibly two (centre back and left back), central midfielder and Watt back. If those players are of the right standard, we will probably save ourselves, but they will cost money. But will that money be less than the cost of relegation? Every day that goes without action, every game that passes, makes the challenge of staying up all the harder.6 -

I also recall him chastising Kevin Keegan for his comments following an interview in Liverpool. Keegan said he had a positive feeling about the interview especially after returning to his car to discover all four wheels were still present.

Well I suppose I should apologise for dragging up an old poor taste joke BUT i'm not going to because I do know for a fact that Indians love a self depreciating joke about their business prowess.
I know this because I am married to one, we have a flat in Mumbai and at the moment I am in tentative discussions with a consortium of Indian financiers about buying a ......ooops!

There is bigger issues than the players. The whole club is rotting and I don't think any player could thrive in this environment.6

The problem with jokes about racial stereotypes is that they're offensive. It may be one thing sharing that joke within your close circle when the relationships and intentions are understood, but what it risks beyond that is encouraging others to make similarly offensive jokes. That joke was unacceptable at the Valley 20+ years ago, quite why you think it's acceptable today and I should just 'lighten up' I don't know.NomadicAddick said:

It's people telling others to 'lighten up' about this shit that allowed football supporting in the 70s and 80s to be what it was, driving people away from the game.4 -
I find the term "middle aged white man" offensive, but the lefties and PC brigade love to throw that term around at every opportunity.0

Not sure of the relevance, other than to strengthen the point I'm making. It's not PC to avoid using racist jokes on a public forum.queensland_addick said:I find the term "middle aged white man" offensive, but the lefties and PC brigade love to throw that term around at every opportunity.
I'm always one to recognise context and intent is a valid defence, but that it's provoked this type of comment shows why it should never have been put on a public forum.0 -
The guy above me rents out his flat.
He's after new tenants after having problems with the previous ones. I said to him this Friday that he should have either gays, asians or OAP's in as hopefully being less of a problem. I then went on to say that I know a lot of gays and they keep their property spotless.
The woman that was with us piped up by saying "you're not being very politically correct here". F****** people like that give me the needle.0 -
