yeah, Wolves have done well this season but have no real financial clout and neither do Southampton. Derby would still be strong although they could lose some of their influential players, Giles Barnes for example, plus their loanees. Whoever is there though it is a tough league to get out of.
Agreed, we don't want the Spammers in the CCC with us, that would be one of the three spots taken already.
They'll be fine, they'll get a point at OT and the Blades will whack Wigan. The Prem won't change their ruling either, no matter how much Whelan squeals.

Whelan will squeal but as you say they won't lose points. Financial recompense possibly but not points.
Heart ruling your head, old son!!! We don't want them there with us competing for players when they have 100 million quid or whatever the spam head has got.....
If it has to be this way then we don't want them down there too, its going to be hard enough anyway.
problem is Solid that they'll splash the cash, perhaps sign some players we wanted and even I'd have 'em down for one of the automatic places. I'd rather we didn't have them to contend with that's all.
I still think WHU go down. Wigan will beat The Blades and Fergie has a long memory. WHU cost him the title in '95.
Despite his admiration and affection for Curbs he will want to win on Sunday. After their run they (WHU) are going to feel a lot worse than we do when they go down on Sunday - shame!
I'm still in "heart ruling head" mode as well. It just sticks in my craw the way the Prem have bent over backwards to let them off, when you know that if it was us, they'd have made sure we had points docked in January.
At present, the only way I'll be happy if West Ham stay up is if Curbs takes Marcus Bent off our hands for a couple of million .
Agree that it will make next season more difficult with Wet Spam in the fizzy pop league, however they should already be down and I agree with DJDD - Fergie doesn't forget easily and United at home should wipe the floor with them - even with a dodgy defence. Wigan will probably lose anyway
I seriously doubt that Ferguson will be seeking retribution for a defeat that happened 10 years ago. That was a different time and place and there would be nobody left at West Ham from those days so what would be the point. Ferguson could not give a toss about playing his best team and I doubt whether Ronaldo or Rooney will play, it will just be a big title party for United. Anyway, as you say, Wigan will lose anyway.
[cite]Posted By: LargeAddick[/cite]stay up. Getting out of the Championship will be a lot, lot harder with them involved. Agree ?
I thought this a week or two ago but I didn't want to tempt fate by mentioning it. With their resources, they are going to be able to buy themselves out of the Championship if they go down.

Much rather be up against Wigan than have to compete with their cash.

a depleted wigan (who will lose fans they haven't even attracted yet) or a money splashing west ham (and a local rival)
no-brainer

United have had a long, long season and Fergie will likely not even play most of his top guns anyway because there is nothing to be gained for them.
Also, no way Wigan are winning at Sheff Utd in the form that they are in and seeing how strong the Blades are at home.
