Bye Bye Premiership

It's now all said and done and it remains only to say "Well done" to everyone who kept faith 'till the end, even through all of the ups and downs, sucker punch after sucker punch. I think we've held our heads high throughout and I think our support has gained a touch of that special something we've been lacking during the last few years we've been an established Premiership club. That's important and something to be proud of.

"Well done" to Scott Carson and Matt Holland. A very special thank-you to Darren Bent, who gave us hope 'till the end and something to be proud of through both his performances on the pitch and his professional approach off of it. Thank-you to Alan Pardew for giving us hope in the second half of the season and for giving us a firm foundation for moving forward.

The re-build begins now. It's been necessary for some time and perhaps relegation is the only way it can be done properly.

Let's be honest, we could have played until Xmas and never scored. We were nowhere good enough for this level - missing class in all key areas of the pitch. Needs a total clear out now, bringing in some new young talent and building the club back up again. I think next season will be a LOT harder than some are anticipating but it will certainly be more fun than the last 3-4 years have been. I am looking forward to August already.
