I won't go to another game even though I have a season ticket. If by some miracle we survive I will not get a season ticket next season. If we are relegated and have some proper owners, I'll buy a season ticket straight away. I don't care about how much money they have, I want a steady ship, I want fan engagement, I want my Charlton back.
5-0 away at Udders is a disgrace. The players don't want to play anymore, all is lost. Go away.
I'd say this is as dark as it gets. Fraeye won't be in charge tomorrow
Get someone like Warnock in immediately. Pay him loads and the same again if he keeps us up.
Then try really hard not to fuck up our next appointment of a manager. Better still - just go away now. Phone Mr Varney, apologise profusely for being so arrogant and hope he can save us.
I'd rather Roly lose all his money first and become forced to wander the streets of Liege as an elderly vagrant.
He will drift around for a bit, haunted by memories of his failures, before finally getting a fatal kicking in a subway from a gang of Standard fans in the manner of the beginning of 'A Clockwork Orange'
The youngsters out there in the current team will be having their confidence torn to shreds. These ****s need to go asap.
It's ridiculous.
There's no real ambition for the club but to break even. The aim is to develop academy and young signings to sell on.
Except they can't develop because under this setup they're destined to be in a relegation battle every season.
If that must be the vision for the club at least have a proper manager who knows how to help them progress. They don't even have to have much experience - neither Powell or Curbs did. They don't have to be English either if they've had a decent career elsewhere. If they have to be Head Coach that's fine - just make sure there's a strong scouting set up to work alongside them.
We don't have a big budget - that's fine if that's all we can afford. But in that case signings must be well thought out, otherwise a low budget leads to a struggle. Several of our summer signings barely played last season, and when they did it was abroad in a completely different league. Sarr looks like a player we signed after watching a DVD of his best moments. I really wouldn't be surprised if that was the case - how else could they have watched him play? Same for Ba, he spent most of last season injured.
RD has the money to move us forward. We're not asking for multi-million pound signings, expensive big name managers and dominating attacking football every week. His other clubs seem to be doing pretty well. Why is he continuing to get it so wrong in so many areas with us?
How hard is it to:
- Appoint a proper manager/head coach
- Support him with the right staff, coaches, scouts etc.
- Understand the balance the squad needs to compete in this league. Not 45% academy players, 45% young signings.
You're willing to spend money on young signings. Realise those players would benefit and be worth more if they played alongside experienced Championship players. You won't make a profit on a 28 year old you sign for £500k, but that player might help hold our defence together or score the goals we need from midfield to keep us in a comfortable position in the league. That in turn means you can give youngsters more chances without the pressure of a relegation battle.
So much money and time has been wasted on players that weren't good enough and/or weren't suited to the league. KM said £9m had been spent on players. What have we got to show for it? Imagine what might have been if Powell had half that to spend after coming up from League One. Imagine how his team might have looked if he could have added more pace and creativity to the hard working, organised team we had. The football wasn't great but our wingers were Green, Wagstaff, Harriott supported by various loan players. He didn't have someone like JBG or Bulot. He never had £1m+ strikers like Vetokele (before injuries ruined him) or Watt. He never had the chance to play a ball playing defender like Gomez.
We're only three points off safety. It's not too late. There's still time to bring in signings. The way RD changes coaches KF should be gone very soon. But I just can't see him spending the money on the sort of replacement we need. Rather than getting a coach you can "trust", why not give someone with the right experience and qualities a go and perhaps when they show their ability as a manager you'll find you're able to trust them.

We are proper f****!!

You have no sentimental attachment to this club as demonstrated by the fact you've barely even been to the Valley.
You're losing money.
You're making enemies.
No one wants you here.
The British public and media are beginning to laugh at you.
Someone wants to buy the club. Why won't you talk to them? What do you stand to lose?
You certainly aren't gaining anything from your running of the club.
Cut your loses, sell the club and leave us in peace taking your unqualified, untalented and over promoted cronies with you.
I'd say this is as dark as it gets. Fraeye won't be in charge tomorrow
