Guys, it simply says 2-0 in the intro which was written, understandably, before Reza netted the consolation deep into injury-time. The headline reads 2-1 and Reza's goal is, of course, discussed in the report. As soon as the final whistle goes, it's my job to rush down and take care of the post-match duties so the typo stayed in, but we spotted it in the car. Apologies for the error, it's happened plenty of times before and I'm sure similar will happen again. Change should appear shortly. Not sure if the OP was done sarcastically, but I'll just assume it was for the sake of my sanity!
I hope you are on good money Olly, to work for this shower of S**t everyday must take some courage. You do realise any mistake you make will be picked up because fans are fed up with the management at the moment
its alright @Ollywozere we understand your just as F***** off with the running of the club as we are, And understand for your jobs sake you need to be careful about what you say, one day it MIGHT be all over! wouldn't that be nice? must be boring writing the same reports from the same responces week after week!
Olly is a great bloke in my view despite what I frequently reference about club statements and the like. I believe loyalty is a big part of Olly's character as far as I can tell, certainly his loyalty to Charlton Athletic. It is absolutely in character, and to be expected if such loyalty is also shown to ones employer. I also believe it is with a sense of loyalty to the fans that Olly tries so hard to deliver to us a decent service. I suspect that most of us in Olly's position would have a hard time if there was a conflict of duty, and we were in the middle of it.
I always work under the assumption that Olly does not have absolute autonomy of everything he is obliged to do, and that indeed he has to exercise personal discretion as part of his job.
I don't think any of that means we can't pick up on stuff said by various organs of the club, be it sweating assets, building better tomorrows, masterminds, interims or whatever.
It is the territory, especially right now when that territory is a battlefield.
