I'm imagining myself in a locked room with Duchatelet. I am thinking violent thoughts, very violent thoughts. I can only imagine, now he has been totally proven wrong beyond even surely his own doubt, but he is not man enough to address the problems he has caused. He could do so quickly by replacing the manager and CEO with people who know what they are doing and can turn something toxic, into something more positive. Even a businessman who knows nothing about football would recommend such an action. This stubborn cowardly senile bastard, should be put in a home. Now where was I..........
  • I really would love a one to one meeting with katrien so I think I might write her an email, we all know she always replies to them.

I'm listening to K-Billy's super sounds of the 70's, whilst Duchatelet has a nice sit down.

Wow, a juice article today (this evening) in Belgium's most popular newspaper. Sums it up nicely ...

Unfortunately it seems to be mainly Murray's quotes, though it does say that he has messed up again, just like he did at standard.

We really need to get the Belgian press aware of the fact that there is going to be a mass protest at the game v Blackburn. Maybe turn it into a anti-Belgian theme ? to get their attention.

Let's face it: where sport starts and ends the sport. The problem with Roland is that he once again wants to prove that you can lead a football club as a business. That is not the case. You have a football club 20 egos that must work together, each with a view of supporters and performance of the "business" life be followed. The press is there still to boot top. In the intermodal business is still something else to it.

    Abusive? Inappropriate? Let us know.

You get that if the president does not know anything about football. And he is not alone. Throughout Europe you see that money does not mean you have success. By contrast, milk presidents if all clubs because it is about an investment and not about football. These people make the sport broken because it just nothing with sport has to do more.

    Here it goes:
RD goes through the same nightmare again. Same as during his time with Standard Liège, Charlton's president (owner) is confronted with a supporters revolt. Board member (and former chairman) R. Murray in the mean time tries to calm down the fans.
"made in Charlton, destroyed by Belgians", the banners didn't lie last Saturday.
At the moment RD's club holds the last spot in the Championship bar one, entirely to blame the former Standard President and CEO Katrien Meire.
Richard Murray tries to support his chairman by stating on the official website "thanks to RD we gained financial stability. No owner wants to destroy his club. That would defy logic. I think it's fair to say - and Roland admits this - that he underestimated the Championship".
Murray emphasizes the achievements of RD: "his philosophy is to minimize the losses ...." the rest is what could be read a couple of days ago in Murray's "statement" ...

Sorry guys, I tried to translate an article ... it isn't Shakespeare, I know ....

He's going to love the fact his failure has reached his own press.

    Some reactions:
    1. That's what you get when the chairman doesn't have a clue what football is all about. One sees this throughout Europe when Football is regarded as an investment. These kind of people destroy the sport ...
    2. RD wants to prove time and time again that a club can be run as any other business, which is not the case. There's 20 ego's that have to work together, fans with an opinion, "company results" that are followed live on television. On top of this the press ... In another kind of business this is not the case.
    3. RD underestimated things, but in the meantime he takes the profits, etc ...
    4. RD appointed KM. She may well be a good lawyer, but has lost all sympathy of the fans as a result of poor communication and breach of confidence. On top of this, RD appointed a Coach out of the Belgian 3rd division. The way out is pretty obvious, but RD is a bit stubborn. He'd better listened to Bob Peeters instead of Katrien;
    5. You can read that one ... it's in English ...

HLN is the most commonly read newspaper in Flanders. The same journalist (probably a freelancer) sold this article to other newspapers too.

This is another article on the sports website (sporza) of the national television (Flemish spoken). It's written by a journalist who went to see Charlton play a couple of times (Tom BOUDEWEEL ). Maybe of interest to you ... he's got a twitter account and is on facebook. He's a sports journalist.
