They weren't realistically going to get away with using the club emblem for long- bit naive really as otherwise it wasn't libellous
Didn't @Airman Brown say a while back that the Spivs lost the TM on the emblem?
They did, but that's more to do with the fact that just slapping a ™ on something doesn't really do much to protect your intellectual property rights (hence we were about the only club to have it anyway). The Spivs weren't giving up the club's unique right to use the badge, they just realised that the ™ wasn't the right tool to protect their interests.
The TM was dropped some time before the Spivs I believe.
I was following them until they changed the logo and the title so that it wasn't apparent which of them was posting things. This made it pointless and I stopped following. I'm all for funny 'piss take' twitter accounts but the reader needs to be able to distinguish between them.
The tweets were insulting towards those at the club and they did look official so the club had to act.

Account suspended. If the person in charge mentions it's a parody account in the description, all should be good.
They now have the evening protest as their photo and have nicked the Spell it Out, lop-sided black 'n' white badge!!
