    Sound familiar?

Duchâtelet controlled Standard without any corporate vision?

Bruno Venanzi:. "Exactly what me most amazing, is that he indeed built up a strategy to pay as little tax as possible were sometimes erected a complex system to save 1000 or 2000 euro from the wages of an employee, but at the same time. we find bills of 200,000 euros for players' agents are not recognized. "

A bit like paying peanuts for a ramshackle backroom staff to save money, but spending significant chunks on players that are subsequently shipped out for free.

Might this be of interest to the Football League, if not HMRC?

It is highly damning if you translate it. The man is a soulless leech and going by this, an account fiddler.

Standard When you purchase, you seemed to be the soul of the savior of the club. Today the honeymoon seem over.
Bruno Venanzi: "I know that Standard is a difficult club to manage, but that goes for every club and every enterprise When Standard play emotions then another strong I know I need time to church again... put the middle. The numbers are not good. I knew that when I took over the club and I am also familiar with the risks, especially if the results are not good. "

Are you talking about the financial or sporting results?
Bruno Venanzi ". The financial I want as fast as possible to get the budget in balance again and I know it's doable same time we must put down a club sporting results as Standard worthy.."

What is today in the club's cash?
Bruno Venanzi "Nothing Well, I'm exaggerating there is still 2 million, which is nothing for the management of such a club!.."

Therefore, you have a lot of players go. That obviously has an impact on the sporting results.
Bruno Venanzi: "Prior to my arrival, there was a significant payroll because Roland Duchâtelet followed a very different policy he led a multi club policy 'by Standard and cow A year ago, a player was bought for 1.5 million euro Six months later moved... which to a sister club from the 'Duchâtelet empire', for 0 euros. This is a famous capital loss for default. That's not normal. "

What are your financial goals for Standard?
Bruno Venanzi "This season I want to again reach equilibrium, the following also from 2017-2018, we must again make a profit so that we can make new investments The ultimate aim is to make the business profitable, what they are right now is not.. . "

That will not be easy. Three weeks ago, you stated on Club RTL: "I knew that I bought a house to renovate, but I did not think the fundamentals were so affected". Standard exhibits hidden defects?
Bruno Venanzi: "Yes, and I find it every other day."

    Which?
Bruno Venanzi: "There are things I do not understand during the examination of the books for the acquisition, I discovered that there were no financial plans for the coming weeks and months, the accountant told me that Roland Duchâtelet who found unnecessary if the club... needed money, he would have to shoot it. As yet I'm scared. "

"

Do you still do a good thing with Standard?
Bruno Venanzi: "I can say only about ten or fifteen years, it's like buying stocks, I always say.. Buy shares is easy, knowing when to sell them is another matter."

Duchâtelet has twice used the dividends of the club: 20 million in 2013 and another 10 million just before the sale. Add to that his substantial salary for four years and the millions he got for sale. And while Standard time bought 32 million euros.
Bruno Venanzi: "I know that Roland has done a good thing, the better for him, the question is whether he has any of satisfaction taken out if we only look at the financial aspect, he can be satisfied, very satisfied even... But if he only lives on but financial satisfaction and when we see what happened below him with Standard, I say, poor man. "

Confirms that Roland doesn't have a plan, never had one. The whole thing's just a game to him. He's walking a very fine line, quite close to being a crook but not quite. Anyone who still supports him and his henchperson should remember the saying "If you sup with the devil make sure you use a long spoon".

There must be a plan though mustn't there? Maybe he's just insane. Does anyone know how to get someone sectioned?

And confirms what we all know now, in that there is no 'masterplan' - as andynelson says ' its just a game to him'

Does transfer pricing apply for players moved between clubs in a network in the way they do for assets/ goods in a group of companies? Has tax implications .... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Transfer_pricing

"Transfer pricing is the major tool for corporate tax avoidance[1] also referred to as Base Erosion and Profit Shifting (BEPS)."

Tax avoidance of course being completely legal albeit arguably morally questionable.

That's an old article. Venanzi and RD are best of friends again now.

    Curiouser and curiouser.

RD has probably chucked Venanzi a couple off million to keep quiet about what he discovered. RD is a mathmetition who has way out ideas that defy conventional wisdom. So he plays with figures, making them so complex that even the tax authorities can't nail him on anything because even they can't understand what he's up to. Meanwhile his personal bank balance increases, and he leaves behind him a trail of destruction. Socialist? my arse!
