I have depised Marcus Bent before this latest tabloid stuff has surfaced and to be honest I couldnt give a damn about his shennangins off the pitch other than his loyalty to Charlton whilst contracted. I heard some information from someone who works at the club that confirmed my thoughts about this man. If I had the money I would have paid for him to leave our club immediately. This stuff in the tabloid just continues to prove he is a total selfish c**t. GET RID OF HIM PARDEW!
He played well tonight.
The last word in that sentence sums him up. "Tonight" you can count on the fingers of Dave Allen's hand how many times he has. He can do it. He is a very good targetman - when he can be f**ked to try.
He put in effort, won his fair share of headers and flicked some good balls on.
He epitomises what I hate about Premiership footballers. Arrogant, lazy c***s who don't give a toss about anything but payday.
However he can do a job, and tonight for the first time in weeks he did his.
His off pitch activities are enough to turn anyone against him though.
[cite]Posted By: LenGlover[/cite]Marcus Bent is a poor mans Bartlett.
That is all.
Lol! Len's new crusade is Bartlett. Saw that earlier Len.
Bartlett did some good stuff for us including some excellent defending. However he could not cleanly kick a ball goalwards with his foot. To me that is fundamental to being a striker.

Saw Kish tonight and applauded him.
I applauded Kish too. Called his name but he didn't hear (or ignored!) me.
Didnt mean Ambrose on the lazy. I just meant Ambrose on the shite. Hes been giving the ball away far to cheaply since the west ham game. He doesn't look to me like a natural winger. He doesn't seem to have the legs to run at players.
Overall i think the team looked very tired tonight from the off. I actually had to count sides to make sure we both had the same amount of players at one point because we just couldn't get the ball off them. And when we did we gave it straight back. Second half was better.

But in Len's defence, when was the last time we saw Marcus Bent do that either?
Bartlett only played well consistently when on loan or in the last year of a deal. The fact that we have been relying on Marcus Bent, Hasselbaink, Lisbie and Lloyd Sam says a lot about the lack of cash invested in the front two over the years.
No-one in the Premier League is likely to sign him so let's see if he can do a job for us next year - else he sits on the payroll while younger talent comes through.

Ambrose may have been shite but not lazy- no way.

For a "target man" his touch is woeful and positioning even worse.
For a "last defender" striker he is not quick enough.
We therefore end up with someone who can't hold the ball up like Andy Hunt and someone who can't get in behind like Darren Bent.

Who is out there in the CCC that is good in the air and can hold the bloody ball up?
I've never pulled my hamstring whilst shagging your missus either Oggy....Oops!!....:-)
