@RedPanda sent me this image that his Dad took and he would be happy for us to use. Have a few different headlines.
I like the last one "here before you..." As I've heard so many people say that to me when discussing things, some of the older supporters that are not getting too worked up over things because they say that they supported Charlton long before this regime or the one before that and that and so on and they'll still be there supporting Charlton during the next and one after that. It demonstrates how insignificant RD and KM are in the whole grand scheme of things.
Hey guys, I'm supporting the Belgian team Standard de Liège. We had our fights with Roland as well. Officialy he sold the club but many of us think it's just a make-believe. For me he installed a puppet-on-a-string, but he's still calling the shots. That is why I was wondering if you could send me one of your anti-Duchatelet scarves? Thanks!
In case anyone is thinking @Kristof isn't genuine, I can vouch for him (for what that's worth). Had a chat with him last night, did warn him he may receive questions about RD,etc. Said he is more than willing to help out in any way he can. MOG.
A bit of history. His first club was a team called STVV, a club in the top league, mostly playing around place 10 to 12 (out of 16). Our previous owner died and his wife sold the club and because here you can't have 2 clubs in the same league, he sold STVV. The club relegated because of bad leadership, all he left there was a ruin (players), but a renewed stadium. After 1 year we were done giving him the benefits of the doubt, after selling Witsel, Defour, Carcela, ... and replacing them by guys who think they are top of the world but were hardly good enough to play second division (probably sounds familiar). At that point he started buying other teams, Allarcon (Spain), Carl Zeiss Jena (Germany), Ujpest (Hungary) and Charlton. We were the richest club in Belgium but started buying players for the other clubs, including paying their salary. He took 10 million € out of the club as profit for himself. At that point hell was allready breaking loose for him. We had a match stopped by the referree cause he couldn't guarantee the players safety anymore (while they were not at risk, we were after our beloved Roland). We invaded a press conference held a demonstration. The guy feared for his life, and that when he sold us to his right hand. The problem is that everybody still thinks he has a hand in STVV as well as in Standard. His partner is chairman of STVV (he claims he doesn't even help her) and Venanzi used to be his right hand...
