Tightening up the back

Although gutted we couldn't hang on in a dreary weathered night at the Valley, I did a lot of thinking on the train home. All successful sides start with good defences. We are letting too many winning situations slip ala Brighton (sending off cost us there). I do think though that if we nab a couple of seasoned defenders in the Jan transfer window we can start pushing on. Charlton for life.

Its much better to read than the November / December calls of "We're going down" / "League One here we come" when we're not even halfway through the season, its almost like the British Army surrendering after the first couple of cannons were fired at Waterloo!!

I agree Curbs. Cover for RB and CB looks vital. Midfield is need of urgent help too. One of my fellow Addicks pointed out last night that our defenders could all do with better coaching than they are getting right now. They win their headers and tackles, but the ball is constantly being given away in our own half so it is coming straight back into our danger area.

Can we get better coaching for our back 4, and a decent ball-winner in midfield (eg another Kashi). Please.
