I wish JFH all the best, except against us. I know he was a lazy end of career flop in his playing time at the Valley but I have always had a bit of a soft spot for him, always seems such a nice friendly sort of chap ((:>)

Of the recent ex-players, I would not have put him down as potential management material. Was pants for us (big big pants) but I guess we should judge him now as a manager not as a player.0

Comes across well which is a surprise given his reputation as a player... And id guess we more than most would see him in bad light.
Be interesting to see how he does. 1 thing being a good manager when taking over a club up on the up, another taking over a club that has more negative than positive momentum.
Gary Rowett turned Burton around and has since turned Birmingham around. JFH carried on Rowetts work. Similar situation to managers at Swansea after Martinez (at least).2 -

The only reason I said that is because Rowett had done the donkey-work at Burton and JFH just took over the reigns.
QPR was a rebuilding job - not something JFH has any experience in.
