John MacDonald played twice for Charlton (according to wiki). He's the only player that I'm aware of who has played with Charlton & Dumbarton and is, therefore, better than Messi (despite being a diving wee bassa at Rangers).
@Riscardo@AFKABartram@rina@Charlton Charlie will all have fond memories of representing Charlton in Scotland - playing for the old supporters team in Ayr of all places - somehow 3-1 to us in the Quarter Finals of the Cup - we lost in the Final to Hibs in Leeds obviously enough!
Fantastic player on his day. During his final season for us I thought he was about as good a midfielder as you could get. He was then (inevitably) sold on - (to Birmingham City, I thought he could have done better). I assumed he'd go on to play for his country, but sadly this never happened - dunno what went wrong.

At least we got a fee - we just give decent players to Birmingham for free now !
