I really want Callum to come back and be a success, but I can't shake the feeling that he would probably come back and have a couple of incredible games and then as soon as he has a stinker he will struggle to recover again.

Possibly the most extreme personification of a 'confidence player' we've had at Charlton in recent years

Agreed, saw him up front with Igor a couple times last year (Ipswich and Millwall), which was admittedly a terrible idea. But his touch and passing are often poor, and he has a bad habit of squandering chances.

    He is our Shaun Wright-Phillips.

He's missed some chances but his goal-scoring record is ok for a winger. Bit like Scott Wagstaff in that respect.
Waggy you always got the feeling he could nick a goal when he was on the pitch, harriott always makes me think he'll hit the post/miss a sitter at some point

His best position is in the centre. If he comes back the manager should make that clear to him.
Then if he gets his chance he has to take it, end of. No mucking him about playing him wide and all that nonsense.

  • Harriott started his career well for us.

He then became inconsistent and possibly his form was affected due to the crowd getting on his back, but towards the end of the Riga spell he came good and I was optimistic that things would change, I had always liked him.

Unfortunately last season was a bit of a disaster and quite clearly he needed to find another club.

I do not think it will be a good idea for Harriott to come back, he has had too many chances.
  • There's a player in him somewhere ready, although maybe not willing, to prove to us all he's got what it takes. Riga supposedly got him going, lets hope Mr KF (whom was Riga's assistant) can do similar.

    Waggy or Green?
  • Harriot told BBC Essex could have thoughts of move to Millwall although likes Fraeye as manager. I have watched Colchester a few times including last 1-3 defeat, Harriot seems ignored on left wing but when gets fed shower class and his cross gave Colchester their only goal.

He's found his level, he'll be gone in January.

Of course. Seen him come through the ranks and well aware of what he's capable of.

Harriot could be a very decent player if his decision making is improved.

I forget he's only 21 still. Bring him back and give him a run in the side
