Blackburn appoint Paul Lambert

As title says. Would've been a good appointment but obviously not as cheap as Karel.

Exactly that. He's an excellent manager, guarantee we'll be on Roland's 8th our 9th head coach long before Lambert gets the sack.

But Katrien told us "football is a global sport".

Why would we want to appoint anyone not from Belguim and/or personally known to Roland. That's been proven to be a success every time.

On appointment, Lambert mumbled something unintelligible but seemed excited.

He'll do well there .. good manager despite his tribulations at Villa .. he has a good squad .. expect Blackburn to soon get into a play off position

He knows his stuff alright, but he's one of the greediest most disloyal managers going. Wouldn't want him.

No doubt he is decent manager, Villa is bit of a poisoned chalice, so think he can be forgiven that one.

Grass is always greener with him though,so wouldn't bank on him being at Blackburn too long.
  • Could argue that Lambert is on the way down as a manager, and are the Venkysbat Blackburn really that much better than RD?

I think they've learned their lessons there and have been a decent side the last couple of years.

Surely with Scotland at 460+ miles away and Belguim a mere 250+ Scotland is more global? ;)

Suppose we can look forward to hearing how Blackburn were "ootstarndin'" after every game.
