He owns a biochemical company that is working on replacing oil with livulinic acid, apparently. He spent 7 years working on it without telling anyone. And now they're in a position to go public.

    That would seriously piss off the oil producers, I assume they would offer millions for the patent and then bury it.

    There are some other even richer people in silicon valley, they'd probably offer even more to expand production!
