Firefighters had to rescue a trapped football fan who claimed he had fallen asleep on the toilet at half-time waking up seven hours after the match had ended.
A crew from Barnsley got the call around 11pm Saturday night and witnessed a man in his early 20s standing on the top of a portakabin inside Oakwell stadium calling for help.
The Barnsley fan, who attended The Reds’ 1-0 defeat to Fleetwood Town, is said to have woken up around 10:30pm.
As he left the toilet and walked into the dark concourse, the alarms were set off which alerted emergency services.
He made his way pitch side before climbing onto the structure.
A Barnsley Fire Station spokesperson said: “We got the call through to attend Oakwell and usually its just a false alarm.
“But we turned up and saw this young lad on top of the portakabin trying to get our attention.
“We had to get the ladder to get him down. He had no shoes on and had lost his mobile phone and his hat.

Sounds like he had to make a quick exit from somewhere else. (:
