After a barren spell under a poor manager in a struggling side our young star has started to shine under a better manager and scored two goals yesterday

One a poachers goal but he had to be there to take advantage of the mistake and the second a very good drive.

Newport now out of the relegation zone thanks to a new manager and more confidence. If only we could see the same in SE7.

Doubt Zak will ever play for Charlton as doesn't fit the profile but he is a real player. Might take a while but expect to see him scoring against us in a league game sometime.

Nice assists from Pigott and Harriot yesterday too.

He was scoring for fun in the U21s early season but while we had no strikers he was shipped out on loan.

I suspect that like Poyet he has a contract that triggers a pay rise if he plays for the first team.

He was highly rated at Arsenal and his potential, if he could recover from some nasty injuries, wad recognised by people like Ben Roberts and Nathan Jones.

Big, strong, eye for goal, good technique, good mentor in his father.
