by the ref because the other officials were confusing him for one of the players reminds me of the night we played millwall at the old den in the late sixties, early seventies when one of their players, warming up on the touch line in his full kit, rang down the line towards the goal as they were attacking and one of our players went over to 'defend' against him...needless to say, the gap resulted in them scoring...
anybody remember who the players were ? i thought our one might have been reeves and their's was the other half of the weller/? duo that formed a great partnership at the time who's name escapes me at the moment...
