    Solly 7.5 - Solid
Fox 8 - Best game in a Charlton shirt imo.

Gudmundsson 7.5 - Unlucky with a shot in the 80th min
Kashi 8 - Run his blood to water
    Cousins 8 - Everywhere
Ceballos 6 - 2 half chances and the worst corner ever in the first half
Watt 7.5 - Hardly any service but excellent for the goal
Makienok 6 - good at defending corners but should have done better up front and a good chance in the 2nd half

    Pope - 7 solid
Solly - 6 let too any crosses over, not his best.
    Fox - 6.5 Decent
    Diarra - 8 solid
    Bauer - 8 solid
Gudmundsson - 7 looked dangerous but nothing came off.
Cousins - 7 put himself about
    Kashi - 7 Everywhere
Ceballos - 6 average. Did well covering Fox. Also took the worst corner I've ever seen.
Makienok - 6.5 better defending that linking up attacking moves.
    Watt - 8 always a danger

Bergdich - 5.5 thought he was poor. Gave away silly free kicks and gave away possession to easily.

Decent away performance. Was well organised and hard to break down. Only real chances came from Watt or JBG. Need to be better in possession and control the game.

  • Now we know how old StigThundercock is
  • Great to hear that your boys watched the match New York.
But if we don't have an age limit of say ????
You must be old enough to shave, or otherwise
it will bring the marking into disrepute.

    Fair point- here are mine:

Pope - 7 - untroubled first half; a little shaky second half but good late tip over
Solly - 7 - typical performance against a marauding opposing full back
Fox - 5 - a little uncertain at times - could have done with a more disciplined left sided partner than CC
    Diarra - 8 - outstanding throughout - class personified
Bauer - 7 - coped with relentless attacks without looking overly troubled
Gudmundsson - 6 - not his type of game but dangerous on the break
Cousins - 8 - great athlete - seems to benefit from Kashi's workrate compared to Buyens
    Kashi - 8 - like a wasp at a BBQ - terrific signing
Ceballos - 4 - wrong selection and anonymous - horrendous corner too
Makienok - 6 - seems to win more headers in defence than up front - terrifies opponents either way
Watt - 7 - great attitude chasing lost causes - unpredictability is his biggest asset

Bergdich - 6 - should have started - disciplined role

Pope - 8 great saves looks nervy at times had a couple of funny kicking moments
Solly - 6 not a great game for him
    Fox - 8 solid
    Diarra - 8 solid
    Bauer - 8 solid
Gudmundsson - 7 got dragged into defending with Solly and between them let too many balls/players behind them
Cousins - 7 tried hard but defended too deep and welcomed derby to us
Kashi - 7 same as cousins
Ceballos - 6 looked handy but what was that corner?
Makienok - 6 do question sometimes his ability as a footballer but then he does something good
Watt - 8 worked hard and kept going. Looked fitter!

Bergdich - 6 can't say he made much impact or stood out.

  • Pope - 8 played very well, kicking aside
Solly - 7.5 missplaced a fair few passes but really tested and coped well
    Fox - 8 very good
Diarra - 8.5 lost count of number of blocks, excellent
Bauer - 9 as above, solid as a rock
Gudmundsson - 7 not at his best today
Cousins - 8 never stopped working
    Kashi - 8 as above
Ceballos - 5 the corner was a highlight
Makienok - 7 ok going forward, very good defensively
Watt - 7.5 worked hard helped midfield a lot

Bergdich - 6.5 not much impact good or bad

    Bauer - 7
    Gudmundsson - 5.5
    Cousins - 7

Makienok - 6 lay it off to JBG 2-0 game over but he went for glory.
    Watt - 7.5

    Bergdich - 6.5

  • Pope - 7 couple of poor kicks and one push away when could have caught but safe overall
Solly - 7 seemed to be some confusion between him and JBG defensively which was probably credit to Derby's left side.
Fox - 8 turned once but other than that reduced Ince to show pony status
Diarra - 8 very calm under pressure. Rest those legs for Tuesday!
    Bauer - 8.5 superb defender.
Gudmundsson - 6 not at his best today but still a threat on the break.
Cousins - 8 stopped the momentum of a lot of Derby attacks
Kashi - 8 this guy will be invaluable if we are to do something this year. Very cool under pressure and reads the game really well.
Ceballos - 6 worked hard to help Fox but not sure this was a game for him to start
Makienok - 6.5 my jury is still out on this guy - effective or just rubbish? Honestly don't know.
Watt - 7 quiet 1st half but always a threat once space opened up as Derby came forward more.

Bergdich - 6.5 good defensively but gave the ball away a few times

There are some who've questioned my marks from Tuesday's game and I'm certainly old enough to shave. Not that I do, mind. As for our members of the female sex, do they have to be old enough to shave their legs?

  • Pope - 8: a couple of decent saves and commanded his area well. Refused to be intimidated by the sledging from that amateur referee, Chris Martin. A big test for Nick and he passed it with ease
Solly - 7: we were a bit exposed on the right flank but he did ok. Hope he's alright for Tuesday
Fox - 7.5: a good performance against the division's second most expensive winger
Diarra - 9: some great blocks and a highly professional performance. I'm sure he's an important role model at the club, especially for the young French lads
Bauer - 9: excellent positional sense and calmness personified under pressure
Gudmundsson - 6.5: a quiet game by his standards and he gave the ball away unnecessarily a few times. He still, however, carries a serious threat and had two good strikes just over
Cousins - 7.5: worked very hard throughout and covered a lot of ground. Got pushed deeper as the game wore on
Kashi - 7.5: ditto. Always makes himself available to receive the ball
Ceballos - 6: got in a few dangerous positions and looks an intelligent player. Will need some time to adjust
Makienok - 7: a good performance for the team. Tremendous in his own box in defending corners and flicked on some good balls to Tony Watt. Missed a chance at 1-0 when set up by Tony - he caught the ball really sweetly at the edge of the box but it went straight at the keeper
Watt - 8: another fine performance. If he gets the ball into his feet and turns, you are in big trouble as a defender

Bergdich - 6: gave us some additional energy when he came on. Could have been a little more careful with the ball but, in fairness, it was backs to the wall stuff by the time he entered the fray

  • Just because Ceballos miss kicks at just one corner, it's a bit harsh to mark him down too much. He did ok otherwise.
  • Pope - 9 Outstanding
Solly - 5 Poor distribution, hesitant and failed to block crossed not his day
Fox - 8 Getting better all the time
Diarra - 8 confident and composed on the ball
Bauer - 9 Class act reminds my of MM just better
Gudmundsson - 6 did not do anything on the ball but was a threat in front of goal
Cousins - 8 Where he belongs worked very hard but so did everyone.
Kashi - 8 Had a good game hard to believe this is his first season
Ceballos - 7 Another player settling in quickly
    Makienok - 7 Bloody handful
Watt - 9 Bloody awesome the goal in its self made it worth going

  • Pope - 6, kicking was poor and spilled a couple of saves.
Solly - 7 was excellent going foreward not as good in defence as he normally is.
Fox - 5 was beaten to often down his side, and most of his long passes went astray.
    Diarra - 6 gave a decnt performance
Bauer - 7 was as good as solly.
Gudmundsson - 6 seems off the pace at the start of the season, lets hope he finds his best form soon.
Cousins - 7 was very combative.
Kashi - 8 was the best palyer on the pitch for us, both in defending and starting attacks.
Ceballos - 5 showed his inexperience which I accept made it difficult for fox.
Makienok - 6 wish he would control the ball better and not get tangled up in his own feet.
Watt - 7 had a decent game, had to play to deep spent a lot of his time in are box.

Bergdich - 7 was strong and helped us hold out at the end.
