Will be interesting to watch Derby at Portsmouth tonight. Wondering what kind of team they will put out and whether we can get any indication of Clement's favoured tactics.

Look out for Guy in the stand - maybe dressed up in the Robin outfit as a disguise.
Guy Luzon will keep a low profile tonight.

He will be crouching on all fours.

Sitting in between Stephen Kelly and Leon Best (just dont let Stephen do the driving).
  • Luton/Northampton/Peterborough away would all be reasonably local for me. Otherwise, a L2 team at home would do nicely - another change to hopefully allow the likes of Sarr/Bergditch/Aherne-Grant etc to get some game time and build up their match fitness.
  • Peterborough or Luton away would suit me but would be tough games.
  • Nothing like making the draw uncomplicated.

Re Luzon I had him down as a Sir Valiant type of person.
  • I'll consider Gillingham away if we get them as I live in Strood now so be just down the road

    .
  • It's going to be Sheffield United away, isn't it?
  • Lose to Luton away
  • Burton, Rochdale or York away would be good, as I haven't seen Charlton play them away. However, as there is a tube strike that week (starts Tuesday evening), I'd actually prefer a home tie...

    Correct!

    Seeded teams are
Swansea, Stoke, Crystal Palace, Everton, West Brom, Leicester, Newcastle, Sunderland, Aston Villa, Bournemouth, Watford and Norwich
    plus
Hull, QPR, Ipswich, Wolves, Birmingham, Charlton, Sheffield Wednesday, Fulham and Reading
    plus
Derby, Middlesbrough and Leeds if they progress
    if not
Brighton, Rotherham and MK Dons are ready to take their place among the seeds.

Chelsea, Man C, Man U, Arsenal, Liverpool, Tottenham, Southampton and West Ham join in the third round.

Already out of Europe, why aren't they in the draw?
Errr - because there would be an extra team......
But they qualified through the fair play league. Wasn't it an extra place and therefore an additional team skipping the 2nd round?

The Football League didn't know West Ham were going to be so sh*t in Europe and had to plan ahead of that. :-)

They have two different set ups based on whether seven or eight English team qualify for European competitions. This season it was eight and so

    72 teams enter first round
    12 teams enter second round
    8 teams enter third round

The season before it was 7 teams in Europe and so

    70 teams entered first round
    15 teams entered second round
    7 teams entered third round
  • York away for entirely selfish reasons although as somebody said it's an old fashioned football ground that will be disappearing soon
  • Watching Derby game now. What's with the camera angle?! It's crap - so low to the pitch it is hard to follow the game.

    Elf & safety, apparently, Damo.

The commentator claimed it was for 'health and safety' reasons. Yet they have managed a higher view for replays.
  • Portsmouth beating Derby 1-0.
  • camera angle is awful.

Sky really needs to buck its ideas up what with this and the Sergio Sanchez debacle.
  • Pompey back in front. What a goal.

  • Sheff Utd at home please.
  • Gills at home or away would be good fun.

Hardest ties would be one of Brighton, MK Dons, Preston, Rotherham or Sheff Utd. But we should be progressing to round three... if we weren't rubbish in the cups. :-)
  • Pompey at home would have a decent atmosphere.
  • It has to be millwall away for me. An away game at the toolbox. What better ?
Oh damn the spanners got knocked out by Barnet. Shame.
  • A home tie. Cant imagine a few of the new lads will fancy hartlepool or carlisle.

    This, please.
